What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Two days ago it was 94*, hottest day of the year. And that's exactly when my blower resistor decided to take a dump. Yesterday I replaced that and the melted wiring harness. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

    Installing Double Din Alpine Stereo

I have no idea. I went the rca to speaker wire route. Got rid of the static, but gained alternator whine. #fail The plan now is to run wire to the door speakers. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

    Installing Double Din Alpine Stereo

The static comes from having the signal double amplified. Once from the internal head unit and once from the stock bose amp. Either run rca out from the head unit to the wires to the amp. Or run new wiring from the head unit to the speakers. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Got the box for my under seat sub today. The cut out is exactly what sundown specified but it's slightly too small. Hopefully tomorrow I'll have it shaved and installed. After using the rca outputs to the base amp, I got rid of the static but I'm not happy. Now when I push the volume it...

    Installing Double Din Alpine Stereo

Cables came in today. Happy to report I've SOLVED the buzz, hiss, static, white noise, whatever you want to call it! As my guess, it was the signal being double amplified. Once from the head unit and again at the bose amp. So, simply wire the 8 wires for all four speakers (LF, RF, RR, LR) to...

    Low buzz sound

I still believe it has to do with the stock bose amp. Couple of options I've though of. 1) rca output to speaker wire, so from back of head unit to speaker wire input on amp. 2) run a wire from the amp input to the output side wire, thus skipping the bose amp. 3)running new speaker wire to each...

    Low buzz sound

I have some crackling and white noise coming through the speakers on mine. I have bose but no onstar. Lots of people with the issue, no solutions that I've found Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

    Towing mileage

It runs pretty dang good with no load. Only 113k on it. I understand the wind resistance is the same as a trailer twice as long. But, just seems like something is off. I thought maybe it was a bad head wind. But I got the same mileage going both directions. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

    Towing mileage

This was very flat roads in northern Indiana. Per original post 65mph. Yes, lots of air drag on a camper vs a boat. Yes, truck gets to temp and holds right at 210 on the gauges. I tried a half tank with and without tow haul mode. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
