What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?
Replaced the drivers door latch mechanism and outside handle. tried to figure out the rear barn door removal. didn't have much luck but did end up buying a special hing pin removal tool. hopefullt it'll do the trick. The dent on the ogiginal door bugs me.- CO-Tahoe

Changed the shift solinoids amd the VSS, also ran down the harness and found a diconnected connector. not sure what all did it it but now it shifts like a new rig. The cluster I ended up just going down to the pull and pay and searched for one with the same mileage. finally found one and it...- CO-Tahoe

And here's one after I fixed the grill and installed the Brush Guard -

Yep. Z71. It had some issues but I've been able to correct them so far. Only thing left now is a fuel pump and sending unit. Pump works but the sending unit isn't talking nice to the fuel gauge. -

Well this weekend I fixed my gauge issues, fixed my transmission shift problem, replaced the broken door handle, fixed the busted grill , installed the brush guard, shampooed the interior, and did the wheel speed sensors on my 2000 Z71 Tahoe. Nice productive weekend.- CO-Tahoe

Well I went to the pull and pay and found what I needed. -

so I noticed on my new to me Tahoe that the bottom of the grill was flopping around so pulled it off this morning and noticed that the bottom had no screws. I then noticed that there isn't a place to clip or screw it. I'm thinking that I'm missing some kind of a header bar. Here's a pic. What... -
Transmission not shifting.
My bet would be the shift solenoid inside. I had a similar issue and it turned out to be a bad connection on the wiring harness. But I was getting a service engine light and the speedometer wasn't functioning. If you end up doing the shift solenoid inside I'd suggest that you get both. From...- CO-Tahoe

Well I changed the 2 shift selinoids and it was still not shifting so I started checking other things. Turns out that there was a wire that for some reason was not plugged in at the harness sitting on top of the t-case. I found the female end that was on the harness and bingo!! Yeah, I was thinking that if there is an in line short maybe coming off the VSS or in the harness line it may cause some weird crap elsewhere.
