So I picked up another 2 door Tahoe from Cali and it has all of this wonderful emissions crap on it blocking the spot for my second battery. I've searched a few forums and haven't found any decent write ups on removal of these systems. I can take it out but just need to know if there is anything to look out for, just did the inspection today so I'll have plenty of time to get the PCM tuned to delete any codes.
Ok here is a quick how-to on the EGR delete, you will throw codes after deleting I am not responsible in any way sort or form for anything you decide to do to your truck.
Ok so here is the air/egr pump

There are 3 bolts that hold it down including the same one that holds the batter in place. Remove all these bolts to remove the air pump.

Now unplug the plugs and tuck them away

You now have the area for the battery but still need to plug off the stock exhaust mainfolds. There are 6 bolts you still need to remove, there are two on each EGR port and one bracket on either side of the motor. Remove these they are 10mm bolts and remove the hoses that connect both exhuast banks.
Now follow the two vacuum lines that connect to the system and block them off, one is close to the throtte body and is pictured below. The other is under the passenger side hood bracket.

For the exhaust portion I cut off my metal EGR house and had a shop weld them shut here is both sides.

That should cover it, I'm going to delete the charcoal/ fuel tank vent later this week.
