Motherfuckín' son of a gun!

See, your Tahoe might be big and shit but it ain't no fuckín' Ford fuckín' RANGER!

You’re very right, however, the Mrs said I need to put love into the Tahoe and start driving it again because she refuses to do a 3 hour trip in the ranger again lol.

Glad to see you update. Hope you've been well!

Glad to see you didn’t die yet either!

I haven’t done a thing to it like I said I would, but the G80 did try to kill me today. Instead of not locking like it normally would, it locked, then unlocked unexpectedly in the middle of some hard cornering. Wouldn’t have guessed it would do much however it really unsettled the chassis and strangely felt like really bad understeer. Unless the under steer was just me being surprised in the moment. Either way this thing really needs the 4.10s, truetrac, and new tires.

Anyone have a 9.5sf truetrac for sale?

Spent 3 hours shampooing this turd today. Not new looking but atleast it smells nice. I’ve had great momentum working on my new to me gmc a few hours in the morning and an hour or so in the evening when it’s still fairly cool so I think I’m gonna transition that time to the Tahoe. All this will be stuff I can do at my house with no garage and no concrete to park on.

To start was some cleaning because I have never really cleaned the interior of this truck other than shop vac and interior wipes. I doubt it was dirty Mike and the boys, but it sure looked like the PO hosted soup kitchens in this thing.

Next is gonna be what failed me today which is Efan wiring. It’s been failing for a few years now and I figured eventually the truck would burn to the ground and I’d be free of this affliction. Anyway the wiring is melted hella bad and causing the ECT to read wrong intermittently causing some horrendous bucking as the truck sees 200* to -39* rapidly while doing 60mph. Honestly was sure I’d make it home today. So I’m pulling the harness in the morning and planning to steal the one off my RCSB which is still half parted out.

Got the factory style efan harness the PO installed out of the Tahoe, man it’s roached. No idea what caused the issue other than it appeared to have melted at some splices, not sure if I did those or he did. I know the first bit of efan trouble I had was relays burning up. So tbh no idea if even replacing the wiring will fix this
