I live in the mountains. 19.5 with 12500 on the truck

I'm getting confident in MPG on latest model. 19.5MPG in the mountains probably close to 21MPG at sea level, I'd assume.
Now I have to decide whether I should wait for 2018 with 10 speed or get 2017....

You guys make me sick. In need to sell this 06 Z-71 that's constantly at 13.9 average

Ha!
Kinda reminds me of the time about 10 or 11 yrs ago when people were selling SUVs to get into Toyota compact cars, as fuel was almost $5/gallon. Only problem is they lost more money trading than they could save on fuel.
:p

I actually bought the 17 with the 8 speed because I knew it had the bugs worked out. I did not want the first year of the 10-speed. The 8-speed I hardly ever feel it shift and the AFM is seamless.

That's good point on 10 speed. I drive 2016 MDX and had issues with 9 speed and took a while for the software to be updated. Still not smooth enough. But this 10 speed is already used in other cars?

The AFM is seamless? The must have done an incredible amount t of work between the 16 and the 17!!

I obviously can't tell what's going on inside of my motor with the AFM, but I agree with the AFM being a seamless transition. I cannot tell whether my Tahoe is in V8 or V4 without looking at the dash to see. I also have a 2017.

Same here on my 2017. Only know AFM is working when you look at the dash. I was getting over 24 mpg at 63 mph in a 55 on CC. Thats amazing to me. (2017 Tahoe Premier)
