I have a 2010 Yukon with factory back up camera connected to the rear view mirror and the factory radio which isn't the GPS one. I just ordered the Avic-Z120BT and want to attach it somehow so that I can use the back up camera already on the car onto this unit. Hope that made sense. Not sure if the wiring harness will have all this stuff on there, asking now so I can order the needed parts before attempting the install. Thanks.

So you want the B/U Cam to display on both the z-120 and the rear view mirror monitor? Or are you trying to display video from the z-120 on the mirror monitor?

I only want it to display on the new head unit, and not on the rear view mirror which it is now.

I am not sure how the new mirror camera setup works, but you should have an RCA cable that is plugged into the mirror somewhere. Try tracing the wires from the mirror. There are rear A/V outputs on the z-120 that you can probably hook the video output to your mirror so it displays your movies.

if it isnt hooked up by rcas you may have to splice the cable open and find the video feed wires and tap into those to get the video to your hu

Sounds like you'll have to find the wires above your mirror for the camera, disconnect them and splice some new wire and run it behind your HU. Ideally you'd be able to find them in the console or dash. I'm sure they run under there. You might have to trace them from the camera itself.

Once you find the correct wires it's easy enough to turn it into a RCA plug.

backup camera two lines connecting the needs and reversing lights, tail lights down the line if they can find, pre-open key, power on, hang reverse, do not start the car, then look down the lights on, identify the light line, the camera the two lines, then hit the black wire, and another cable with the light, good insulation tape wrapped around.
