I just installed the pioneer avh-4100. This is my first ever aftermarket stereo ive had in any of my cars, so obviously i pretty juiced about it. The 3100 has a smaller screen and 2v pre-amp outputs i think, the 4100 has a full screen and 4v preamp outputs. The kenwood 8120 is a sick Hu, but very pricey. The kenwood has built in navi and bluetooth (i think), and the pioneers dont. You cant even add the navi to pioneer unless oyu get a stand alone unit.

Both AVH units have 4volt pre-outs, but the 4100 has a larger screen and 3 sets of pre-outs compared to the 2 sets on the 3100.

Kind of depends on your year. If you have 03+ you have a DD opening and it's just a matter of installing the unit, If you have anything below a 03 then theres some modification needed.

I'll repost my DD install thread from TF. I know it wasn't a detailed thread, but it will give you a general idea. I'll go through and add in a few more things also then post it.

That would be fantastic. I'm leaning towards the D3 myself. Soon as I get the exterior done the interior is getting pulled apart
