Okay, so my dad recently bought a Tahoe, for my first car, used. Although the car is in INCREDIBLE condition (I'm not exaggerating), there are a few things that concern me.

1. There is a wire, looks like some type of charger/power supply for something, running out of the center console. I tugged gently on the wire, but it wouldn't budge. Would anyone happen to have any idea what this is? I will attempt to add a picture below.

*For those wondering, yes that is a throw rug. I do have the OEM carpeted mats underneath, but they came in the car like that, lol.

2. Could I take the tray out that the cupholder sits in, and if so, how hard would it be to take out? Would there be an easier way to look beneath the console, if so, how?

Also, if you notice, the little fan picture on my fan speed control button is rubbing off, only to reveal a bright green base which screams, "Hey, look at me!".

Is there a power inverter in the truck? Like to plug up a house charge or ps2/ps3 something of sorts? I dont have a nnbs so i dont know how hard it would be to remove.

I dont know about the nnbs but on most of the nbs stuff all the button images tend to rub off.

**Update**
Used the search function after I posted, fail, I know. Long story short I found out how to remove the tray. It made me feel stupid once I found out how easy it is to remove it, lol. All you have to do is pull upward on the tray, and it pops right out.

Anyway, I found out what my mystery wire was/is. It's actually the power supply cable for a $499.99 dollar cellular signal repeater. http://www.digitalantenna.com/prods/cellbooster_4KMR-10A_vehiclerepeater.html

Apparently the previous owners didn't have the same "no spilling, no mess making" policy as I do. :(
