Had a free visual alignment check at Les Schwab today. Tech spotted play in the inner tie rod end (passenger side I think, causing the gradual pull to the right). No dash lights, steering feels mostly normal otherwise, but I do get occasional clunks over bumps or in dips at an angle...
Has anyone changed out their steering rack bushings? The only replacement GM offers is the sleeve bushing (22960484) and Dorman makes one for the two press fit bushings (523267). If I wiggle the rack there's a very small amount of play in the sleeve bushing, but I'm not sure if that would be...
I know you can tighten it by removing the airbag. But I am scared to touch mine cause there’s a recall for exploding air bag and sending shrapnel everywhere. Any other ways to tighten it?
