    Collision avoidance and towing questions

    On my 2023 there's a setting (somewhere under Settings->Vehicle Settings) called 'Tow Bar Attached' or something like that. If you turn it on, you can leave your auto-braking on and still back up with a hitch attached. I just leave the setting on all the time.

    Can you elaborate on what issues you're having towing? I've pulled two campers with my Yukon XL (6.2 w/air suspension) and haven't had to disable TCS. It tows surprisingly well IMO. One camper was 33' 7,600lbs travel trailer and the other is a 28' Airstream weighing 7,200lbs.

    Unfortunately the dealer told you wrong. The trailer camera port is part of the Enhanced Trailering Technology Package, which is separate from the Max Trailering Package. I believe it’s only available on AT4 and Denali.

    2021 z71 premium smooth ride suspension squats when towing

    Agreed. A weight distribution hitch takes some of the weight off the rear axle and distributes it to the front axle and trailer axles. That keeps the rear end from squatting as much and helps with steering by keeping more weight on the front wheels.

    I’m curious, what’s your payload capacity? My travel trailer is the same size as yours but I went with the 6.2 because I was worried about overloading the vehicle. I love the 6.2 except for the fuel economy. I’m getting around 9 mpg towing.

    2023 YUKON CONSTRAINTS LIST?

    I have an order placed for a Yukon XL AT4 with the 6.2L. I spoke to a different dealer last week that told me the 6.2L is on constraint for the AT4 and I'd have to go Denali to get it. I searched the inventory site and sure enough, there's not a single AT4 6.2L out there.
