Curious to know what people have total mileage wise on their 5th gen Tahoe / Yukon’s? Obviously, there’s lots of talk about the engine issues, lifers…etc.; however statistically that is small (not insignificant though).
2023 Yukon Denali Ult
6.2L (second engine / replaced @ 16,000 miles)...
Page 4 of the May 2025 updated bulletin. The way myself (and my service rep) read this is........ If engine needs replacement, they shouldn’t let you leave with it. If they do and engine blows and causes an accident, that makes them liable for a lawsuit. So once identified the 60 day clock...
Update: I received the recall notice (1st letter) for my 2023 Yukon 6.2L about two weeks ago (currently at 67K miles on its second engine. First died at 16K and was replaced in 2023).
I had the oil and filter changed at the dealership yesterday, but they couldn’t perform the updated oil...
Not sure anyone knows the answer, however I'm confused. Is it inspect and look for that Pxxxx code and if found replace (if not just change the oil) or is it replace all engines that were built BEFORE 24183? And checking the "date" is the inspection.
Thanks for the GM Bulletin info. Just picked up my Yukon yesterday from a scheduled oil change. Dealer said they won't have any guidance until June, which aligns with what others have said here. For back ground, 2023 Yukon (purchased in winter 2022). Blown engine at 16K. On second engine...
RE: 2023 Yukon
Has anyone had problems with a rear / second row seat not folding down with the button on the "C" pillar or in the trunk? On side is working, but not the other. Can fold manually with the lever, but not via the button.
Thanks
For background: 2023 Denali Ultimate. Blown engine replaced @ 16K. Currently have 56K miles (total).
New engine wasn’t part of the VIN recall that was mentioned earlier in this thread.
Does anyone know what triggered that partial re-call by VINs? Seems like GM found something wrong or...
GMC.COM and click the word"VEHICLE" located next to the GMC emblem, then slide over to the words "FUTURE VEHICLES" and click it you will be able to build and price a 2025 Yukon.
Does anyone know if there is a big ride difference between a Denali and AT4? Assuming both have Mag and Air suspension? Currently have a 23 Denali and looking to switch for a 25 D-Max....unsure on the ride difference between the two.
Order guide is interesting. Looks like you can't get super cruise in the HC trim with the diesel.
Wonder if they are trying to separate the Tahoe vs Yukon.
3 - Requires 4WD model, (L87) 6.2L EcoTec3 V8 engine and either (PCU) Sun and Tow Package or (PDM) High Country Deluxe. Not available...
I don't see why they wouldn't shift to the new LZ0 diesel. Makes no sense to continue to produce two different version. Suspect they used 2023 to use up existing stock of the LM2.
Does anyone know if the 2024 will have any new packages? Rims? Colors? I know there's no refresh; however was wondering if they would add any packages.
