What did you do to your 21+ T1XX today?

Today while driving to work, I encountered an Escalade in the carpool lane. I typically cruise at around 82, so I noticed him weaving in and out of the lane. I guess he must have noticed me coming up fast, so he tries to impress me by showing off his badgeless VST (the lower rear valance was a...

what useful items do you carry in your SUV?

A medical urinal (driver side door pocket)... no joke. I've had it in my Yukon since day one. You never know when duty calls, you're on the road, and you need to make an unexpected pit stop.

What did you do to your 21+ T1XX today?

Very true. You certainly don't want to damage the paint finish on the tailgate with scratch marks from tools or fingernails from trying to scratch off the adhesive double-sided tape. It's best to take your time and do it right. Stop what you're doing and watch YouTube videos if you have to...

What did you do to your 21+ T1XX today?

This past weekend I removed the "GMC" badge from the rear liftgate, as one of the mildest mods I've done so far on my Yukon. It was long overdue, but it turned out great. I ended up using some 50lb fishing line and adhesive remover I bought from Walmart. I didn't use any power tools to grind...

2024 Yukon AT4 with Fuel Blitz rims and Toyo AT3s

My only regret for having my wheels is that I can't put 35's on it because of the -76 offset. I can still do it but I'd need to raise the truck up an additional 3 inches for the wheels to clear the fender.

    Chrome delete picture thread

Believe it or not, I intentionally bought the Yukon AT4 to avoid having to do a chrome delete. I also wanted the offroad package too, so it worked out pretty well on both fronts.

    TPMS relearn

I recently tried to reprogram my aftermarket TPS sensors at the dealership too (previously set by the same dealership), but they weren't able to do it this time around. However, they did say the way to reprogram them is to have your display set to the TPS screen on your Yukon/Tahoe, and depress...

What's Wrong With Your Yukon/Tahoe Today? ...And How Long Has This Been Happening?

I'll have to check that out to see if my spare is loose. The only thing about that is that it doesn't repeatedly do it. It happens only once while driving, and the sound appears to be coming directly from the rear passenger seat behind the driver. The other issue I've experienced is the...

Why the switch to big rims?

There's always going to be a healthy medium between aesthetics and practicality when it comes to adding lower profile tires and rims and other suspension components. Each aftermarket wheel on my vehicle weighs a good 100lbs each, so there's no weight savings for performance. But what does make...

Why the switch to big rims?

You're absolutely right... I forgot to mention that in my post.

    lifted,leveled or lowered?

I like staying lifted. I can see traffic ahead and anticipate making a lane change before anyone catches on. That way I'm ahead of the curve and can avoid being stuck.

Why the switch to big rims?

If I had to guess, the reason would be one thing... Performance. Actually I didn't have to guess, it was more of a common sense conclusion, and physics. It would seem that gone are the days of large squishy sidewalls that provide additional sway and wobble to the vehicle when in turns. Larger...

    2021 Yukon AT4 - Door Issues

I had this exact same issue for my AT4 just a few weeks ago, and it came down to a setting in your infotainment system. The dealer reset mine when I was getting an oil change, so I didn't see exactly how they navigated through the screen to reset it, but my service advisor did confirm that it's...

Wake up new tire pressure sensors

It started with just one TPS going out on me (on aftermarket wheels), so I took it to dealership #1 and they ended up deactivating all of them because they seemingly didn't know what they were doing. I was pissed about that experience, so I took it back to dealership #2 where I initially had...

2021 Tahoe/Escalade Performance Brembo Brake Upgrade

That's how my kit was sent. The rotors and calipers were shipped separately. Both sets were at least 80 pounds each.

What's Wrong With Your Yukon/Tahoe Today? ...And How Long Has This Been Happening?

Took my Yukon to the Thousand Oaks GMC dealership Saturday morning for an oil change, and I guess it turned out being more serious than that. They found oil condensation on the pan, but no leaking. They replaced the gasket, and had to allow it to seal properly for a few days, which they were...

What's Wrong With Your Yukon/Tahoe Today? ...And How Long Has This Been Happening?

In the last few months, my Yukon had a software update. Since then, little things have been happening like random chimes, random icon displays, and so on. But, it's not so much that it's been a major problem... Until now. Now I can't unlock my doors using the door handle button. I have to...

Corsa catback 6.2 Yukon XL AT4

Thanks for sharing. That sounds identical to the same exhaust as mine, except it has GMC etched on the top instead of Corsa. I spent 2 hours giving them a mirror polish this weekend, and they look fantastic. Even better than when I first received the vehicle.

    GM/Brembo Performance brakes - thoughts + pics

I bought mine directly through a Brembo supplier (BuyBrakes.com). The turn around was incredibly fast. The rotors arrived first, and the custom color matched calipers arrived two days later.

2021 Tahoe/Escalade Performance Brembo Brake Upgrade

There's a clip that needs to be reinserted into the Brembo caliper to assist with brake pad wear. For mine, the clip is at a 90 degree angle because of the design of the larger caliper, so my brake installer had to splice the wire in order for it to fit and function.

2021 Tahoe/Escalade Performance Brembo Brake Upgrade

I have a custom 8-pot Brembo kit, and because of the e-brake in the rear, I was only able to get cross drilled rotors for my Yukon. A year and a half later, and I'm sure someone's probably already figured a work-around for an e-brake setup.

    Lifted/Leveled 2021 - Postem Up

I have no tire rubbing whatsoever in the rear area with the 33's. In the first picture, I removed that black metal plate with that bluish clip, so I have another 2 to 3 inches of space back there. Still, it'll be something to look out for once I test fit it - which will be sometime this month.

    2024 Yukon Colors

Redwood is a spectacular color when you see it in person. It really pops in the sunlight, and has a root beer tone to it. Most people assume it's a wrap because they haven't seen that color before. I think because of the poor campaign for that color and low availability, most people didn't want...

    Lifted/Leveled 2021 - Postem Up

It really didn't take much effort to make them fit. There was a lot of non-visible plastic material shaved off from the inner front bumper to maintain my turning radius, but it's behind the fender liner, so you wouldn't see it anyway. After that, I pushed back the liner further back and zip tied...

    2024 Yukon Colors

I wholeheartedly agree and can contest to the digital colors problem. Before I purchased my AT4, my perception of the Redwood on their website was a muted burgandy. Since it was a brand new color, I relied on YouTube videos and the internet to see it in real life before I pulled the trigger...
