Who pays a deposit on a vehicle . Sorry I have never once put a deposit on one including the Tahoe I got a couple weeks ago. (Sorry couldn’t resist ) I have bought a ton from my dealer so maybe that’s why.
The Highcountry is a nice ride. That was my first choice but was constrained when I ordered so ended up in a6.2 Z71. I would recommend air ride if it’s not constrained.
1100 means GM hasn’t accepted the order. If dealer has allocation could be constrained. My first HighCountry Sat for months at 1100 and the dealer had plenty of allocation. Contraints killed it.
I’ve been there took 9 months to get mine two where never built and the one I got was build first week of production and then sat waiting on parts. Go over to GM inside news and ask Linton to look the code up for you. GM chat is completely worthless. If your dealer doesn’t have allocation...
Be careful with GM chat their information is horrible. I was told congratulations on ordering your new 2021 Tahoe from them multiple times and that truck was never built. I was still getting emails from them a week and half after I picked my 2022 up saying it was in transit with no estimated...
So 1100 means the dealer put your order in the system. 2000 means GM has picked the order up to be built. If you are still at 1100 then current constraints would apply to you as order has not made it to 2000. Another caveat to the entire thing is if they run out of something on the line...
I find the power counsel is handy. Illumation package is cool but can be added later. I haven’t had the rear emergency brake kick in so I’m not sure how it works. I know if I have the trash cans out it picks them up but only as a warning.
The best thing you can do is get the status code from the dealer if you have an order in. GM chats are worthless. All dealers can see constraints when they put in order’s so they should be able to tell you. They get updated weekly on constraint changes.
I know of a 2021 HC that is available at MSRP and dealer will honor GMS if eligible in southern WI. Any one interested PM me and I can give you contact information.
GM chat is worthless. Those lots tend to be for missing parts. See if you can get a code out of your dealer or ask Linton on GM Inside news. With that said the aren’t great with updating codes. Mine says 4200 delayed and it’s now in West Chicago with an expected delivery around the 11th.
I would recommend to ask if they have allocation to order what you want and to tell you what constraints are on what you want. Last I hear the premier was constrained until at least March with 0% allocation. I had to give up on my HC deluxe and had to ordered a 6.2 Z71 as an example. Otherwise...
4800 is a good code! 4B00, 4D00, 4300, aNd 3800 delayed usually not so much. I know we have seen quite few move without the code’s updating. I personally have never seen anything ship from Midlothian out of Midlothian that wasn’t going somewhere for parts. Almost everything from Arlington...
Only your dealer can look it up in vin view. I believe Linton uses GM global connect to look up orders that aren’t his dealerships. Most dealers have no idea about palsapp. One interesting thing I found on there though if you put in the trip number you can see all the vehicles that shipped...
So Midlothian is typically a MP hold lot. I would recommend going on GM Inside news on the order thread and ask Linton to find out your code. Or ask your dealer to show it to you. GM told me for 2 months mine was 4300 when it was actually 4D00 waiting on parts. Another thing to look out for...
are your trucks at the local rail yard or one of the storage lots around Arlington? Bayed code 4B00 usually isn’t a delayed shipping code. From what I have seen it’s mostly used for quality inspection and hold.
