I actually really like the way it sits now. I think the gold bow tie is throwing it off though. If you painted it black, or silver with a black surround, that would look great.
I also like 07burb's idea of painting the grille surround silver, and the bowtie black.
Either way it flows...
Thanks! Mine is Taupe Grey Metallic.
Yea the chrome was a ***** to get off, until I figured it out. It's actually pretty easy if you know what you're doing. But I didn't, so it took me a while...
Let's see some pics of your grill!
Haha yea I need to get a better shot. This was just a quick cell phone shot I sent to a buddy. I'll take a few better ones after the next wash and post them up
Yes I agree. Just wondered if he did since he mentioned "plug and play"
Would you mind shedding light on the LED protectors you used? Are they the same as the ones mentioned earlier in this thread?
Hey Jordan-
FWIW - I looked at the SLP product, and thought it was just too expensive for removing the resonator. So I went and got a quote from RPM Muffler in Oceanside. Richard quoted me $280-300 for a full 3" catback with either an Aero or Magnaflow muffler. Just in case you were ever...
Hey guys - great info in here. I'm kind of an electrical noob. I looked at the protectors in the link provided above. Correct me if I'm wrong, but, you just have to cut the stock ground wire running from the DRL's, and put these protectors in between?
Any other suggestions? Maybe a photo...
Hey guys - Sorry to bump an old thread. Figured it would be better than starting another one.
I see most of you change your oil at 7500 mile intervals. My question is if you actually wait until the onboard computer tells you your oil life is low, or if you just change it at 7500 on the...
Thanks! I checked out the link. $129 is a lot just to remove the resonator. I think BOSS's idea below might be the way to go. I don't know the laws here in CA about it, but how would the cops know anyway? ;)
I just can't get my head wrapped around a $600 catback system. I really only...
Hey jd08 - I promise I'm not stalking you...LOL
Can you tell us more about the resonator delete pipe you installed? Just a local exhaust shop job? Any sound clips?
Hey guys-
Bump for an answer to my question above. Looking to purchase the CCM 2.5" Leveling kit for my 2010 Tahoe. Interested to learn more about "keys." I thought all I needed was the leveling kit. Any help is GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks!
NOOB here...I'm still researching this, as I'm new to the truck world.
Do you need to do one or the other? I figured the leveling kit was basically just a spacer (but please school me if I'm wrong), and the torsions/keys didn't need to be touched. I would like to avoid a crappy ride, so...
