    Lifted/Leveled 2021 - Postem Up

I haven’t used them, but belltech does have replacement sway bars with their 4” lift. Not sure if they’d sell them separately. https://www.belltech.com/products/4-inch-lift-kit-front-and-rear-trail-performance-struts-shocks-150220tps/ If you’re up that high Icon also sells toe links...

    DFM disabler released

Thanks for providing the update, I was curious!

    DFM disabler released

Wonder if there’s any decent battery tester that could be purchased, without breaking the bank, to routinely check battery health? I bought one from Amazon for 30 bucks, haven’t tried it yet, but it’s a small handheld device so unlikely it can properly apply a load to the battery for a proper...

    DFM disabler released

The 21-up disabler plugs into the ECM behind the driver side fender liner. I don't disagree with what you're saying, but this isn't the easy pop in and out of the OBD port while sitting in the drivers seat. My Tahoe went to the dealer for a failed high pressure fuel pump and before the tow...

    DFM disabler released

No, you’ll likely have to follow up with them to find out. Good they’re replacing it for you

    DFM disabler released

Don't disagree, but it's recommended to remove the disabler prior to an OTA. Believe mostly because it could cause the OTA to fail, but maybe mess with module as well. The random codes could be a weak battery, but doesn't track if they removed the module and all codes cleared on there own (if...

    DFM disabler released

Thanks for the heads up. Ideally Range would get this feedback and you’d send the Disabler back for evaluation and report back their findings. If an OTA caused the issue your trust would be restored. Frankly I don’t think I could drive my Tahoe without it at this point.

    New Tires Installed, New Vibration

Could try accelerating (in a straight line) with 4 hi engaged. See if the vibration changes at all.

    New Tires Installed, New Vibration

Was the cv front or rear?

    New Tires Installed, New Vibration

Feel like if it’s tire balance or road force you’d feel it based on speed, whether accelerating, holding speed, or coasting. Sounds like drivetrain to me… nothing else done at the dealer aside from tire replacement? I get acceleration vibration when ambient temps start to drop, but have a 3”...

    New Tires Installed, New Vibration

Is it only during acceleration, or while mantaining speed and coasting too?

    DFM disabler released

From ranges website, seems GM likes to be difficult with the SUV’s before the trucks (don’t think the trucks got global B till 2025). Yeesh “DFM Module for Refresh V8 models - 2021-2024 GM SUV and 2022.5-2026 GM 1500 Truck”

Carfax will show the repairs I’d imagine too, and most dealers will/should provide.

    DFM disabler released

The device came out to support 21-up in Fall 2024, wasn’t one before that supporting 21-22 only. You guys got me curious so hooked up the OBD reader. Looks like my ‘22 5.3 is like @ninjaplumber, readiness monitors are set. Was assuming I’d have to pull it for NY inspection based on other posts...

    DFM disabler released

Question is, does Carbyte actually know that, or are they overgeneralizing when they say DFM is disabled on coast, when they’re actually disabling DFCO? Which is telling you what you want to hear, which is the same thing people are upset with Range over… And if DFM isn’t active when DFCO is...

    DFM disabler released

If you don’t notice DFM I would agree you’ll perceive it as a waste. If you do notice the vibration, hesitation, shudder, and all the other badness with DFM, I assure you you’d have the opposite impression. Interesting to note, I’m driving a 2025 Silverado right now while my Tahoe is getting...

    DFM disabler released

Great info here @jfoj , thank you. I had my OBD WiFi adapter going and thought everything looked normal as far as readiness tests last time I looked (with the range installed) but will check that out. Not a big deal to pull it though before NYS inspections. Wonder if the carbyte uses the same...

    Lifted/Leveled 2021 - Postem Up

Anybody add a little more rear lift to their 3” readylift or 3.5” RC? My ‘22 Tahoe Z71 sits 1/4” to 1/2” lower in the back from ground to fenders than the front, but with the sloped roof looks more substantial. I’ve lived with it for a year but thinking about doing a little something.

    DFM disabler released

Great info guys…. I might have to try the carbyte myself and do the comparison. I never noticed DFM doing its thing before hitting 40 with the range, but I don’t think that happens very often, I’m over 40 out of the gate pretty much everywhere I go.

    Not that I've noticed

    DFM disabler released

Here you go, found something useful. Here's Carbyte actually explaining it. If you don't hit 40, DFM does it's thing. If you do hit 40 they claim it's completely disabled for that drive cycle. Generally speaking that's probably fine, just don't get fooled into thinking the DFM is completely...

    DFM disabler released

No clue, looks like you asked the guy who posted it so hopefully he can confirm. Was funny because I saw somebody going with the carbyte because the range still deactivates when slowing down. Sound like the carbyte isn't 100% either LOL

    DFM disabler released

I came across this unit when searching and couldn’t imagine that it actually worked. Not saying it doesn’t, pretty wild if it’s advanced enough to cover all the cars in the list they show plus these global b’s. One weird thing from a review on Amazon. “One thing to note and not mentioned on...
