I got a 6.2 GM remanufactured engine 2 years ago and it seems stronger and very dependable. I would recommend you change the starter and oil pressure sensor while the engine is out.
After 4 hours the truck started and seem to be ok. I checked it this morning and it was dead. I will charge it again today and drive over to Auto Zone and let them check out the battery with a load tester. I don't think this is a parasitic drain problem since it has never shown any symptoms of it.
I charged the battery and the truck started . I let it run for about 30 minutes and turned it off. I will wait about 4 hours and try it again. Thanks for all you do for us shade tree mechanics.
I replaced the starter and it started right up. In fact I started it 3 times to make sure it wasn’t just a 1 and done starter from Amazon. About 4 hours later I went out to try it and the battery was almost completely drained. Could I have done something wrong or could it be the starter...
Turn ignition key, dash lights all come on and solenoid clicks but starter doesn’t engage. After doing this 4 or 5 times the starter engages and all is good. Could this be a flat spot on the starter or an electrical/ignition problem?
