2001 Lifter rattle

Fuel pump
Check for fuel pressure 1st, then check for fire at the plugs. If the ignition module is bad it may prevent fuel pump from running. If you have no spark and determine the ignition module is bad, and it is in the distributor replace the distributor. The aftermarket ignition modules are no good...- mpyrol

Unknown battery drain
I used this to diagnose a similar issue in my 03 Yukon. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07D2X2JSH I was able to monitor the battery and was able to notice when there was current flow.
