A/C question
Not trying to hi-jack the thread, but I have front and rear A/C and my rear blows ice cold air, and my front is somewhat warm. Any suggestions to go along with there being two different systems and what needs to be done to fix the front A/C?- FootinSD

Small Door Rust
I'm wanting to tackle my first project involving body work... The bottom of the inside of my doors on my 99 are showing a little rust. Figured before I dive into this I would ask to get some pointers on the best process to take care of the rust and painting of the doors. Thanks in advance... -

Heater Core Replacement
Been having the same weather not to far from you in South Dakota. My windows have fogged up bad a couple of times, but I made sure I cleared out the snow packed down between the windshield and the hood, and it helped out right away. Just my 2 cents worth... Is changing the 1999 4x4 switch difficult?
I'm with the others where the 4x4 engages properly, it's just the lights have a mind of their own. However, due to some other issues with starter, etc... i decided to clean and tighten all positive connections between battery, starter, and fuse box, and for some reason, my 4x4 switch lights...- FootinSD

Black plastic
303 Aerospace has worked wonders for me on anything plastic, rubber, vinyl or fiberglass on my truck, boat, etc... including the tires. Basically armor all on steroids and worth giving it a try. -

Need New Running Boards
My factory running boards are all cracked up and need to be replaced. Just curious what opinions everyone has for what I should replace them with. I live in South Dakota, drive in bad winter conditions, and on gravel roads a lot, so a fairly durable step is desired. -

Is changing the 1999 4x4 switch difficult?
No one really answered if there is an aftermarket switch, or a better switch to buy than a used one on ebay... I'm going to replace mine soon and would like to get the best one I can. Ideas?- FootinSD

Mystery noise from the rear
I had my rear driveshaft yoke greased up with a good synthetic grease and the noise you guys are describing went away for me. The transmission guy said this is a common thing with tahoe's of our age, and its an extremely cheap thing to do, even if it isnt making noise. I paid $30 for him to do it.- FootinSD

Air Vents
Great forum guys! Fairly new, and have been reading since switching over from TF. Having an issue with my air vents. I usually run defrost and floor for 8-9 months of the year. Went to turn on the air through the vents on the dash for the first time in the past year and it wouldnt "switch"...- FootinSD
