Will in Nashville's 2005 Yukon Denali

Yeah, we're all good. It sucked, but no one was hurt and insurance did what insurance is supposed to do. There are a couple tweaks I'd make to that process, but I can't complain too much

Still in the shed with the pool noodles. A tree fell on my house a couple months ago during a storm and caused a lot of damage. Thankfully nobody got hurt or anything but it just felt weird screwing around with car stuff until that got fixed. Hopefully it will be all finished up by the end of...

I've heard some locations are better than others and this one has a better reputation than the other Nashville location. I don't think 3k is terrible for a full body paint job, but I definitely would not have been happy with the result for paying 3k

Will in Nashville's 2005 Yukon Denali

I went to Maaco and wanted 3k to paint the whole thing. The finished cars I saw there made me realize I would not have been happy with the result. I think I spent like $500 total to buy the paint, a paint gun, all the materials, and even a respirator. The only thing I had was a 20 gallon...

That's EXACTLY why I decided to paint it myself. There's no way I could have made it worse, and I didn't. It was a pretty fun project to do

The paint has held up good, but in fairness it lives in the garage and I work at home. I'll be doing some paint work again soon because I'm chopping up the HD hood soon.

Haven't really done much to the Yukon lately except drive it all over. It's still the main family ride. A couple weekends ago we took part in a back road cruise to Buc-ee's in Kentucky and someone snapped a picture of us looking for a parking spot

RENAMED!! The adventures of Chase and his 2006 Yukon XL Denali!! Follow along on my travels!

Son, I would have been a salty MFer..... I feel for you removing that oil pan to get to that O-ring. I did exactly the same thing last year and it was not a pleasant job lying on your back. Your adventure with the other O-ring is exactly why I did mine myself, also despite having zero...

I know you're pretty far east of the affected fire area, but dang. Scary out there on the west side of LA

    lowering kit

I love the looks of mine a couple inches lower front and rear. It's a Denali with AWD so it was never gonna be a serious off roader anyway. I have belltech spindles up front that I got used and a rear belltech 3/4" kit for the rear

I've been looking for a pretty long time for something decent and close and not horribly expensive. The stars just happened to align right this time

Drove a couple hours east of Nashville today to pick up a HD hood I found on FB Marketplace

    hd hood- question

I know this is an old thread, but I wanted to resurrect it to say thanks, I thought I was gonna need to bring a trailer but it fit just fine in the back

Question about Denali AWD same size tires

That's good news, I can swing a 22 inch rim with a 285/45-22 way easier than buying another matching wheel and tire

Question about Denali AWD same size tires

If diameter is the measurement I'm looking for, the 285/45-22 should be fine. If I'm looking for same weight at all four corners, that's not going to be the same

Question about Denali AWD same size tires

I've heard through the years that the GMT-800 Denalis and Escalades with full time AWD have to run tires the same size on all four corners. Does anyone else have more thorough knowledge of this? I'm curious if same size means diameter or weight or both? Are we talking instant explosion or...

    I cannot believe it!

Been a Chevy truck guy for a while now, and I've noticed the following pattern: 1. Chevy truck generation is well regarded by it's owners, most of whom bought their trucks used when they had depreciated after their first owners 2. A beautiful example of a truck from that generation sells for...

Happen to have a write up of the install of those airbags and shocks? I've been thinking about making a change to my rear suspension setup
