    HID Retro Memoirs NNBS Tahoe/Suburban

Nice job Lee, final result came out awesome. It's hard for me to look at stock Tahoe headlights after I've grown accustomed to how OEM a retrofit looks. Amber DRLs are a Avy thing though lol but then again I don't even run DRLs anymore cause I did the quad parking/turn. Enjoy your retrofit brother.

Added Dynamat - Got a noticeably quieter ride

Great job on the install, to people looking to sound deadening material I recommended contacting Don at Sounddeadenershowdown. Really knowledgable about vibration and sound deadening. Dynomat, second skin, and whatnot are more for resonance dampening while materials like MLV or Thinsulate is...

Was just going through this thread and can't help but notice that the projector is mounted sideways.

    A Day at Pismo Beach

Thanks y'all! The weather was perfect that day too, it was good to get out of the blazing heat in the central valley.

    A Day at Pismo Beach

Took a road trip down to Pismo yesterday with some of my buddies to go see a The Classic car show but realized today was only cruise night but that didn't stop us from finding things to do. My buddy was camping out at the dunes for the week and invited me earlier that week to roll by. I got a...

    LED Light Bar Installed

It's not mounted to the foam. It's mounted to the plastic "valley" where the foam on the bumper assembly slips into. It's pretty sturdy in there. Below is a picture of my auxilary battery setup before new alternator and redoing the cables. I do not have pictures of how I mounted it at the...

    LED Light Bar Installed

I have a 25" led bar mounted to the the bumper support plastic where the bumper foam slides into, I also have a transcooler and the bar is bright up against it. I had to cut the bumper foam to accommodate the LED bar legs but the foam is easy to cut. I use my bar as a work light when I have to...

2015 Yukon HID Conversion from The Retrofit Source

Most modern day Mopar vehicles need a capacitor or Can-bus harness in line to get rid of the flicker. Dunno if you tried that or not, just a suggestion. The cutoff doesn't look bad either, but still a noticeable amount of glare above the cutoff. I don't think these projectors were the same as...

    relay in harness?

That should be the relay that retains the turn signal/hazard "clicking noise." Same concept as the stock turn signal relay click but for some reason when you swap headunits to aftermarket it doesn't work anymore which is what that is for.

    FXR Quad Retro

It does really suck. TRS has been good to me so far though haha. They will more than likely help me out with this problem as they have previous problems. Thanks again! Also, uploaded some newer pics since I got bored today lol.

    FXR Quad Retro

Haha, I always tear stuff apart just to figure out how things work. Differences in personality. A retrofit honestly isn't a necessity, its more of a luxury item. People have been running sealed beam lights before halogens came out and people were fine back then with what seems like no light...

    FXR Quad Retro

I know exactly what you mean about not having enough time, as it took me over 2 months to complete this since I kept setting it aside for more important things. I maybe would pay someone to do a retro for me if I had money and really stretched on time, and being 19 I don't have that much to...

    HID Retro Memoirs NNBS Tahoe/Suburban

Marcus it is a easy fix with the MH1 depending on how they mounted it. If they used the threaded mounting shaft with the lockring and not epoxy, you can turn the projector from the rear by spreading a pair of needle nose pliers to grip the notches in the rear of the projector used to align the...

    FXR Quad Retro

Thanks you two! Appreciate the kind words I wouldn't put HIDs in the the GMT900 fog lights, it turns them into a big flood light that is super annoying and obnoxious as heck lol. I had HID bulbs with glare caps from retro solutions prior to the LED bulbs and even though I never ran them...

    FXR Quad Retro

Haha thanks. Thanks Thanks, I stripped the chrome using outdoor strength bleach. Pretty much the easiest way to strip the chrome on headlight parts. Shrouds use a different chemical. Thanks, no I only have FXRs on the low beam bowl, a FXR would never fit the high beam bowl, I tried to fit...

    FXR Quad Retro

Well I don’t really spend much time writing on forums and usually just lurk around. I don’t really see the need to post things unless it can be passed off as useful or if I am in need of help. With that being said, I just completed 2 FX-R retros for my Avy and also my father’s 2014 Silverado...

    HID Retro Memoirs NNBS Tahoe/Suburban

People have ran 55w in the MH1 fine but I would not recommend it, and yea TRS specifically states not to use 55w kits in their mini projectors (MH1 and D2S v2.0, the 3.0 D2s can handle 55w apparently.) It is more of a cooling issue since the projectors are well "mini" and don't dissipate heat as...

Looking good Lee, I see you got some Depos also. Reconfirming that Eagle Eyes are butyl based and one of the easier ones to open, HOWEVER, Eagle Eyes packaging is one of the worst and it isn't uncommon that they come with a mounting point snapped off. Nothing CA glue or basic superglue along...

Battery setup in 07 Denali XL...

It's normal for it to be up there, I forgot when they decided to place it right there but the earlier NBS Tahoes and Silverados had it by the driver's headlight due to the air pump assembly being where the NNBS batteries are placed. I am always tempted to do a dual battery setup every time I...

My bagged 07 Yukon... pics & info...

So you haven't done the free travel mod? I cut my brackets off this past summer and haven't had any problems (not saying there won't be though) but for the most part the spring perch is still welded onto the frame so cutting off the bracket doesn't mean the perch comes off with it. I have...

    Billet? Still legit?

Got it from crutchfield a year ago (yes the audio website, kinda odd they sold grilles.) I got the last one from them, I will always remember the buy since I bought it on my phone during one of my class lectures haha. Wished I would had gotten the tow hook pieces during that time too, they were...

    Billet? Still legit?

I like billet, funny how people are starting to like the LTZ grille, around where I live people a year ago thought it was the gaudy-est thing ever. I replaced my LTZ grille with a Carriage works grille that I got new for $40ish bucks. Its a replacement and not a overlay and I like it a lot since...

07 Tahoe upgrade to a Clifford 5904x aftermarket alarm, what bypass is needed??

What factory settings are you talking about in particular? I cannot answer the defrost/heated seats question as I do not have heated seats. However there is mention of heated seats in the flashing process of the DB-All. The aftermarket remote start works differentally than the OEM, the...

07 Tahoe upgrade to a Clifford 5904x aftermarket alarm, what bypass is needed??

DB-All bypass is what you need. If your buying it off the Internet keep in mind you need to buy the flashing module. I have the Python 574 which is basically the same as the Clifford 5904 just without the colored screen.
