    I hit consistently every month 20-21+ mpg on daily city driving to schools/work/stores with all idle and everything. Same 5.3 I can drive 14-15+ if needed. All depends on how you drive. You just have to be bit mindful.

    Dont go with roofing or decking grade. Go with cabinetry grade birch or primed prefinished sanded boards. Bit more expensive but holds pretty nicely and looks great too.

    My understanding is different. Yes, sport tires have softer rubber for better grip. However, the carcass, belts, internal structure are tighter/firmer to keep the sporty handling and steering. This inherently brings firm ride and more road feeling, which is essential for a sport tire.

    Not sure what you mean. Within 500miles of my ZIP, I can find 36 diesels. 8 in transit and all other 28 available now at dealerships. Within texas itself I can find 100+ AVAILABLE NOW.

    These two motors are pretty efficient. Tahoe is pretty much a giant brick with terrible aerodynamics. MPG goes down exponentially with the speed. Onetime I recorded ~30 mpg over 50 miles @ 45-50 mph..

    I can teach you too how to hack the computer to put whatever mpg # you want to be displayed there :p OE continental LX20. They were bit more efficient on MPG than the Pirellis I have now.

    I record all my gas fills and do manual calculations. Computer is about +0.5 mpg than the manual calc.
