Does a Steering gear box replacement need an alignment.
Your alignment will be fine, but your steering wheel may not be straight. You can fix this (straighten the steering wheel) by evenly adjusting your outer tie rods on both sides. Adjust one inward and the other one outward by the same number of turns. Trial and error until you are satisfied.- dgjtools

6.2 or 5.3?
I have a 2016 5.3 (6L80) Tahoe and a 2019 6.2 (10L80) Yukon. The 6.2 is faster and is shifts very smooth. Very fun to drive. However, the 6.2 recommends premium fuel. The 5.3 is has plenty of power and is better on gas mileage. I don't know if all 5.3s had the 6 speed transmission, but I...- dgjtools

First oil change at 1455 miles
I believe the "a" is just an updated filter. I use the larger heavy duty filter UPF63R from Rock Auto on all my 6.2 and 5.3's.- dgjtools

Do not buy a GM L87. They haven’t and don’t intend to fix the rod bearing issue. They also won’t be significantly harmed by the class action lawsuit. Discussion - Oil pressure discrepancy over an oil change interval
Doing a DOD Delete with a new Camshaft can affect oil pressure. The tighter the cam to bearing clearances, the higher the oil pressure.
