    Get an Interstate Battery from Costco, a fresh 10 gallons of gas, and see what happens. Record codes and reset them as they come up. Check Brake calipers being stuck. Run it until the gas in the tank is gone - use some Techron in there. You can't make it worse.

    You could stay in the 2002 - 2006 range, and shop south or west and get another T800. Less $$ and the devil you know. I have had a T800 for too long. I almost went for an 07 T900, but the current truck came by.

    Start by checking fuses. you should be able to look and see a lot if you remove the vanity cover in front of the cluster / Radio. I had blown a lighter fuse, and it knocked out the OBD Port.

    Transmission selector cable

    Just did this to the Yukon that came home from the motor swap. The cable had RTV - really old. I got the Dorman 14073 - Drilled out the old bushing with a 3/8 bit, as suggested on a Youtube video. the inner surface of that bushing locks into the groove on the lever. Feels good.

    Time for a new/used LQ4 - it went to the shop, it ran for 10 min - with misfires. Then seized... So my worst case scenario is the scenario. The journey continues.

    Yeah, It still maybe dead, but I have been known to jump to the worst possible scenario. It sounded awful when trying to start before getting towed home. I have to determine baseline of gas and crank sensor.

    I tested at the Schrader valve with a tester I rented - Zip. I sent it to a shop run by a friend to confirm, and then do that nasty job, if it is indeed dead. Yes, OE or Delco only - for sensors. ( and likely the pump )

    4L60e, transcooler line burst and lost reverse

    Debris from the last blown unit is what worries me. Or the build was no good. My 2001 1500 with 4L60 / LM7 5.3 went to the boneyard with nothing but fluid and line changes. 270K. I now have a 4L80 - they do feel different.

    thx - LQ9's are flat top. I'm happy with the LQ4 power - I come from a LM7 5.3. I'll stick to LQ4.
