Yea all the part houses show either discontinued or available if you order one they will refund ur payment and tell you it's discontinued the very next day. I already had this happen 4 times now.
All the salvage yards have tons of 03-06 consoles in tahoe's and HD trucks but they all have the rear radio controls or at least all the ones in my area do.
I've got a 01 model and replacing everything and updating got a console out of a 03-06 model and the one I got has the rear radio controls which I've removed. So that's the reason for the pocket.
Does anyone know where to get one of these? It's been discontinued by gm and I've been looking all over Google, eBay and the local salvage yards with no luck.

If your mileage just changed like you say I'd probably be looking for a new cluster because what's to say you get it reprogrammed and it just doesn't it again. Plus you can update it to some many different combinations and get a warranty with it.
I just got a escalade cluster and filled out a simple form just stating my name email make and model with vin # and signed and dated and new cluster came with correct miles plug and play pretty simple process.
If you use fine tip on ur solder iron helps greatly when you remove and resolder the leds in the board if your using just a standard tip it's alot easier to screw up and put to much heat on it. Not that it doesn't or won't but definitely less room for error.
