    2015-20 vs 21+ Towing

    The problem with indenpendent is any sag will cause uneven tire wear. Otherwise, even with sag it seems to tow fine. My prevous rig was 2500HD, my new rig lacks the power but stability towing is fine. So far, I have only used it 1x with a 20' cargo trailer.

    To me it seems like the 5.3 downshifts a lot. Slight throttle and it downshifts. At 75+ it stays in 9th a lot. I figure its time spent in higher gears is making it get worse mpg.

    Aftermarket CAI

    Aftermarket CAI has less restriction. I have the rotofab on a 5.3. My wife doesn't notice the sound difference. I am not sure there is any driving difference without doing side by side testing. I have considered putting stock back on to do testing but haven't yet.

    The stock vehicle does not coast like in neutral. It has drag and engine braking like every auto I have ever had. I have had a bunch of Chevy trucks ranging from 69 to 06.

    Its interesting people say the carbyte coasts faster with less engine braking. My stock vehicle coasts like any I have ever had. Engine braking and downshifting. The carbyte having less engine braking sounds like a problem or something i wouldn't want.

    I don't like air ride. Rides too bouncy and wobly. I test drove both and it was as bad as past experience with it. Best thing for a lift is to swap out for coil overs. There are disablers for the ride height sensors.
