well grandpa has a mini starter just hanging around so going to install that in the tahoe. so far all my tests are pointing at a intermittent bad solenoid starter benches fine but in the truck some times it will just not crank and i just hear it engage the flywheel. engine is grounded even... -
Gap at top of lift gate
there are in and out left to right adjustments for the up and down gap you will have to bend the mounting hinge of gate or put in body shims. from them factory they did not use shims so i am assuming all the adjustment was in the hinge it's self over time when people open them to fast they can... -

well today finally got it to fire the fuel spray pattern on the injectors are god awful but i also think it has no gas so will try and put in 5 gallons tomorrow see if that improves if not i will add in and adapter to check fuel pressure does nto help it has been sitting for 5 years -
Now My DRLs Are Out.
could be a loose connection and the testing you did just reseated every thing. the metal part of the connectors can loose tension after a wile -
TBI (not vortec or obd2) crank no start 1995 5.7l auto trans need diagnostic flow chart
putting a conclusion to this tested the pick up coil resistance got 800ohm witch is with in spec so then took a test light to manually trigger the module by attaching one end to power and grounding the other end on where the pi ck up coil plugs into on the module and nothing. already confirmed...- Mater

i actually have a holley one sitting on a shelf i am probably going to put on my truck as i want to replace the TBI with a holley terminator-x but i have many many other things that are more priority- Mater

if you can find one the marine version of the vortec used an aluminum intake with external injectors and rails holley and edelbrock also makes vortec EFI intakes. you will have to get rails and external injectors for them though here is a picture of a marine vortec intake next to a truck intake- Mater

thanks so far to day this is what i have done figure i should keep a log here in case this get's found in a search have confirmed the PCM at least has some power and ground as it is able to flash 12 when jumping the aldl connector. the PCM is also able to turn on the fuel pump relay and prime...- Mater

LMCtruck has a parts catalogue with exploded diagram not sure on shipping though but the diagrams should be useful for parts rock auto tends to be the best cost wise- Mater

You can see that passenger rail and it's perfectly solid. I always suspected it pulled a boat and boat launching did it in at the rar bumper was also really bad and both lower rear quarters where replaced at one point as the body fully was cracking through. -

as long as you have a RPM signal, map signal, engine coolant temp, and TPS. the computer can still control the transmission with a carb. it will have e very single code known to man but it would move. if it was an older TBI vehicle i could understand but the vortec EFI and OBD2 is so much...- Mater

thanks!! yeah the avy got so bad it was missing the bottom half of the driver frame rail. bummer as it only had 153k on it -

does any one have the diagnostic flow chart for the 1995 5.7 TBI? i have narrowed it down to not getting fuel injector pulse or spark but cranks over fine. i could just toss a pick up module into the distributor but i would like to make sure that is the only issue first. also found these...- Mater
