Cognito 3" elite Vs Icon stage 2

I don't know what you ended up going with but I wanted to add a little input. My boss runs the stage 4 setup on his wife's Yukon, they both swear it's more comfortable than it was with the stock air suspension and while not nearly as capable as his long travel Ram, it can still boogie in the...

How To: 2022 Firewall Wire Pass-through

Awesome thank you, I wish I'd noticed there was one on the passenger side when I was running the wiring for the switch for my fog lights.

Has anyone gone with 35x11.5 over the 35x12.50's?

I haven't but that's what I'm debating for next spring, I've been seeing a lot of reviews and breakdowns explaining that skinny tires are actually better suited for the rough stuff vs wide tires.

Small Wheel / Large Tire on a Suburban?

Increased ground clearance and traction are equal concerns, I've bashed the hell out of the supports for my side steps climbing over rocks and ridges while out exploring.

Small Wheel / Large Tire on a Suburban?

Yeah I look at it as how much per tire and $17ea is $68? That's over half a tank of gas, I'll take that!

Small Wheel / Large Tire on a Suburban?

I drive it 90% of the time but I also use it for wine tours so I suppose a 2" lift and 35s might not be a wise investment with all the drunk folks getting in and out...

L87 Range Techology inline DFM disabler

...yeah I need a dealer like that around here. Every single time I've brought the truck in for a noise or issue they tell me that they'll need the truck for a minimum of three days just to diagnose it and they can't guarantee that they'll have a loaner available at all not a comparable loaner, a...

L87 Range Techology inline DFM disabler

Unfortunately I don't, I occasionally set cruise at around 80 on the freeway if I'm tired or in a rush, but most of the time I set it around 65-70 and I just cruise trying to maximize fuel economy.

Small Wheel / Large Tire on a Suburban?

I don't know I run the MT Baja Boss ATs and going from a 20 to a 17 in comparable size was like $30 less per tire if I'd gone that route.

Small Wheel / Large Tire on a Suburban?

I wish it was that simple, basically she wants to keep it as close to what we brought home as possible. With 105k or whatever on the clock and lots of utility roads, fire roads, wine country trails, etc the shocks need to be replaced in the next few months and she's seriously balking at the idea...

Small Wheel / Large Tire on a Suburban?

Personally I've never liked big wheels, anything over 18" just seems silly to me regardless of whether it's a truck or a car. We still have the stock Z71 20s on the Suburban purely because the wife has an emotional attachment to keeping the truck as stock as possible otherwise I would have gone...

L87 Range Techology inline DFM disabler

I ran the same oil and I'd get the add a quart warning on my dash about two times per oil change, switched to the 0w40 from Amsoil and I'm still at one per oil change.

    Pulled the plug

I mean I'm already 105k miles in on mine, but it's the catch can really necessary? I used to run one on my cammed Dodge Magnum, but do we really get that much blowby on the 5.3?

    Bilstein 5100

Well I've got 102,000mi on the OEM ones so far but they take a beating on fire roads and back country roads pretty much every single weekend and it's starting to show, but I don't want a harsh ride around town because we've got some pretty garbage roads. I'm eyeballing the Eibach Pro Trucks for...

    Lift options?

There are tons of options out there depending on whether you're just lifting a little bit because you like the way it looks in the mall parking lot or because you need more clearance on the trails. Icon makes some nice kits as does King and Eibach as well if you're looking for usable suspension...

GMC v. Chevrolet - Does Brand Matter?

Same boat really, I wish I had taken my time to do more research before we bought our Z71 Suburban because a few of those things like the cooled seats would have been deal breakers for me had I not just assumed that for nearly six figures cooled seats were a given.
