    2008 Yukon Denali, 135k miles, part 2!!

This is the oil covered wheel. Probably 3rd round of wiping down. I had just finished the outside face. This was pristine silver.

    2008 Yukon Denali, 135k miles, part 2!!

I agree. I was livid. On top of all this when I was 13 hours out of Denver I found my passenger wheel coated in thick oil. The idiots missed a zerk fitting and blindly pumped a fist full of grease right next to the backside of the rotor. I guess it heated up and when I hit a bump would make...

    2008 Yukon Denali, 135k miles, part 2!!

A couple days ago my passenger brake locked up. Smoke was billowing out. This is the wheel a shop in Denver replaced a wheel bearing on. They did something, maybe damaged a brake line. Anyways I replaced the caliper, rotor, pads, line, and for fun the end link. This rotor is blue from heat...

I'm home. HOly shit. No more driving for a while. 5000 miles driven in 6 days with stops at the parents and the grandparents. I'm kinda tired.

Well, I'm at a local shop in Denver. Vibrations still there but now with low speed noises. Great.

    2008 Yukon Denali, 135k miles, part 2!!

Thanks! I'm sitting in Montana right now. 2500 miles without any major problems. I do have a vibration at 80 mph and up though. The speed limit in MT is 80, so its a bit annoying. I did hit 100 mph a few times passing some ******* truck drivers. I gotta say, a tuned 6.2 hauls ASS! I'm thinking...

    08 Denali Air Conditioning Frost

Yeah. It pisses me off. Live and learn. No issues at all now. I can hear the compressor cycling on and off now. With the bad HVAC controls I don't think the compressor was cycling at all, hence the freezing.

AC Fixed. You'll never guess.... It was my new HVAC controls. I'm not a pro. Supposedly new HVAC controls need a GM tech programmer to setup or it causes all sorts of issues like freezing up. I'll deal with the old controls for a while. Good news is that I have no leaks, new low pressure...

Back to the shop! It was freezing up again bad this morning. This has to be the most boring thread I've ever made.

I replaced the low pressure ac switch. Its hard to tell if it's helping. Ambient air was 65f, I set the ac to as cold as possible with lowest fan setting. I could just get it to start icing over. It's a stupid test and might cause any ac to freeze a bit. I mean who has the ac at the coldest...

Uhhgggg I have list to fix before the week ends for my MT trip. A/C is freezing over. - It was low on coolant, no leaks detected when properly pressurized. This slowed the freezing up. - Filter is clean and so are the coils. - When tested they didnt see any pressure differential pointing to a...
