    Help-2024 Tahoe Stalled

I would ask them to pay for the warranty. You shouldn't have to for piece of mind, let GM win your business back.

2020 6.2L: misfires, lifter issues and engine replacement - SOLVED

I don't know of anything other then GM stuff. HP tuners has real time logging and graphing, but that's a whole nother ball of wax. Have you been driving it with Seafoam, or equivalent, in the engine with the fresh oil?

    Help-2024 Tahoe Stalled

I would jump up and down with GM on this. $44/day for a rental.....what a joke. If they can't build a quality vehicle, then they should at least let you drive the equivalent size vehicle while yours is being fixed. There are many posts here about the 2021 and newer engine dilemmas and their...

Has anybody found a decent portable compressor/inflator?

Agreed with the power tools option. I've used my Ridgid 18v inflator many times to pump up tires when overlanding out west. It works great and the battery life is decent with a 4 amp hour setup

Best solution for 21-year-old windshield with lots of tiny, scratches...

Bummer. Mine is covered under a specific glass coverage rider I believe - no premium increase.

Best solution for 21-year-old windshield with lots of tiny, scratches...

Or see if your auto insurance cover glass replacement. If you have any areas that make it unsafe to see correctly, they may cover it. Or, luck out like I did with a number of stone chips that worked in my favor.

2020 6.2L: misfires, lifter issues and engine replacement - SOLVED

2 - yes leave some space. There is a ratio on the can for how much to add with engine oil. I added 1/2 can to my 2017 when I thought I had a lifter issue. I only put 8 qts of oil in at oil change, capacity is 8.5qts (GM revised the quantity if I recall correctly). 9 - yes. With lifter noise...

$18K Repair on 2010 Burb? Yup, it made sense.

I agree 100% if you have a rust free platform to start with. Put in GM CERTA components and you have another 3yrs/100k on the most important part of the vehicle.

    Diesel Question

You can thank our glorious EPA for your sluggish response when the pedal gets mashed. Too much soot will be produced (EEk!!!!), so the calibration gives power at a rate deemed "clean." My brand new 2023 F450 work truck was the same way.........utterly pathetic if you needed to pass or get out...

    2019 Yukon Build

Your clattering under load is probably a small amount of detonation. You've changed the way the engine breathes relative to the calibration. Maybe run the next level fuel, or blend some E85 into the mix for higher octane.

    Yukon Denali issue

As far as your problem, I've never worked on a hybrid Tahoe, but i would speculate based on what you mentioned that you had a transmission / electric drive motor failure. The whiplash you mentioned is probably from the regenerative system activating for some reason, putting undue stress on the...

    Uneven tires

I know the driver side tire on my 2008 yukon will rub the mudflap when cranked to the left. Doesn't happen on the RH side. Factory tire size. Not sure why either. Maybe with your bigger tires and rims it's more pronounced?

2020 6.2L: misfires, lifter issues and engine replacement - SOLVED

At this point, your cheaper options may work out the best due to the timeline. IF the engine is shot, you won't be doing any more damage than what's been done. Also, check out car-part.com as an option. They have a whole network of auto recyclers where you can get anything you need. Then...

    AFM Disabler differences?

I ran a RANGE device from 42k to about 155k before I bought HP Tuners and shut it off. It worked just fine for me. It's for sale if you're interested. I don't have a need for it anymore

    2017 Yukon Denali Shudder Problem

I'd check the fluid level. My wife explained a similar issue on our 8 speed with 162k. It ended up being a little low on fluid per my friend at the dealership. I ended up replacing the trans temp harness, filter, and fluid. Been fine since. Hoping for 200k out of it.

What's the highest mileage AFM motor you've seen or own?

Wow! That's some use! I thought I (we) put on the miles, but you put me to shame. LOL The proof is in the pudding......lots of miles and long stretches of running tearing up the road is what a vehicle likes. 6.2L I assume? What have you done as far as maintenance? Any issues with...

2024 Z71 mpg .. can it be this bad?

Most engines are tuned to run richer during the break-in period. This helps seat the rings and keep excess heat at bay. Once that period is over (usually buried deep in the ECM with certain criteria that needs to be met), it will then run on your normally scheduled programming. Another thing...

2020 6.2L: misfires, lifter issues and engine replacement - SOLVED

Listen to @the 18th letter this is a good, cheap, option. Aka: the Tennessee Tune-up as well. LOL 1. Change the oil and filter 2. Add approximately 1/2 quuart of Sea Foam, MMO, or ATF (Ratio is on the cans of Seafoam and MMO). 3. Let engine idle with new mixture until it gets warm 4. Run in...

2020 6.2L: misfires, lifter issues and engine replacement - SOLVED

Holy crap! Oil filter every 20k????? REALLY?? Not trying to be mean, but come on man, you're down there anyways. This is probably the most worrysome post I've read in a long time. "I do my own maintenance every 5k, but NO filter." You dealership diagnosis of SLUDGE is 110% correct. That...

    Talk to me about Rims...

I would stick with what you got. You have 20" wheels. Your 21.5 is the outer face, not the diameter of the tire bead. For every 2 inch larger you go, the chittier the ride you get. I have 22 inch wheels and will be selling them this winter and sticking with 18 inch GM accessory...
