Never ending debate - best oil weight

First do you know what the numbers mean... 5w30 is a 5 thickness at cold..and 30 at hot. Why would any one want 0 or water in the engine unless if you are in Alaska in December. Any idea the scraping that can happen in 10 minutes. I'm in cold winter climate and run 10w30 synthetic year round. It...

Has a dealer gone out of the way for you?

What i was once told is they have to sell the truck as received. U can make the deal to change 5 minutes after the sale. I only drive on Michelins so bought the truck then signed the w/o to change the tires. And paid a 110$ each. Also had them send the mags to a powder coat shop and turned them...

    6.2 or Diesel?

I have a Denali xl 6.2. Love it. They say the diesel is great pick up and great fuel. I wish they would put the 8 cyl in the Yukon. The only thing i need to say is.. I've had a 350 Denali p/u and loved it. But if u also have a second car be really carefully as I have seen people go to put gas in...

Is Cadillac dealer service any better than GMC?

Some GMC/Chev dealers are not approved to service Cadillac. But that should not make a difference if u are paying for service. Call the district service manager.

Anyone else do this in the winter?

If your t-stat is working correctly the only thing this will do us help it to Warm up faster. It could cause it to over heat. I said could.. i live in Canada where it can get damn cold and never used that even when I had a diesel. And it came with a cover. As a note the new trucks come with an...

    Auto start/stop eliminator added

I my unit 2023 Yukon and my 2019 just keep your finger on tge push button till the dash reads "auto stop cancelled". The reason for this feature is if by accident the unit starts in your garage. Years ago I knew a couple in Florida who died cause they forgot to turn off the unit.

    4 wheel drive

To be sure...front and rear diff. Transfer case...trans mission oils are good. When u put it in 4 A - 4 L - 4 H. You have so many things working it's just amazing how all keeps in sync. I know this might sound dumb but your tires are all the same size with about the same amount of tread wear

New purchase 2025 tahoe - warranty question

Agree with this post on calling different dealers. If u buy the truck then make the deal the price stays the same cause u don't have to but the extended at time of purchase. All u will need to do is get an inspection before the base warranty is up. Then buy the warranty at the same price. I've...

    From Lexus to Chevy?

Don't know how big you want to go but before you buy make a deal where you drive a regular and a Yukon Denali XL. The extended wheel base really makes a difference in the ride. Especially on certain hiways. Like your Lexus the shorter wheel base can make it a little front to rear rocky...
