Any idea who made this AFM-DFM Disabler?

I'm needing some learning here. I thought AFM used specialized lifters and other components. It could not automatically be turned off without replacing parts.

V Escalade - Loud at Startup

No kidding on the noise. The wife's 2011 Yukon Denali XL is much quieter at start-up, but my neighbor's Escalade V wakes me up. I will swap you her Yukon + $50 for your V, delivered it to your door. Then I can piss off my neighbor when the wife starts her new Escalade. Piss on him!

MagnaRide Z95 fixed 2011 Escalade - gratitude thx

1,000 lb tongue weight is not an indication of whether you were properly hitched for your load. I would assume you have the towing package. A little time spent on the towing forum will give you a better idea of where you need to be.

[SOLVED] Escalade Swaying at high speeds

At 175,000 miles I upgraded the front sway bar and added a heavy duty rear sway bar on my 2011 Denali XL. I also replaced my MagnaRides and air compressor. The rest of the front end was factory. I could run 90+ mph comfortably all day long if I could find a place to do it. The max in Texas...

    T's

My factory T was still going at 208,000 miles when I sold my 11 Denali XL. But I would covet that Gruven T if I ever had the engine apart. The cost would be incidental at that point. Plus I will always upgrade to a better part if one is available.

Muffler/Exhaust System for 2020 Yukon XL Denali 6.2L

You did the right thing on the wheels. I personally would not consider the Nokians, but that is a personal choice.

Muffler/Exhaust System for 2020 Yukon XL Denali 6.2L

Not sure why you want to change exhaust. The factory 3" is plenty to evacuate the 6.2 with authority both at start-up and running around town. It is much quieter at highway speeds, which is the primary reason I valued the factory exhaust on my 2011. Drone is not exciting unless it is on my 67...

Any regrets not getting a Suburban/XL instead of Tahoe/Yukon?

My wife drove her suburbans starting in 1985 and never complained. Bought her a 2023 GMC Denali XL with the air suspension to put on the road. She complained about parking and being able to see over the hood. I had to agree. It was a fantastic and comfortable road car though. We totaled it...

Anybody else less than enthusiastic about the direction Chevy is taking with the Tahoes and suburbans?

My 21 and 23 F150's each have a 36 gallon tank. Is the thought that this was a detriment to mpg with the emission rules in effect at the time? I'm thinking Ford had to have the same problem. I can't imagine they had miles to burn.

How to Make it to 500k Miles?

I will edit belts and hoses to include coolant every 100,000 miles. I ate lunch between those two.

How to Make it to 500k Miles?

My answer is working from my 208,000 mile 2011 GMC Yukon Denali XL 6.2 I just traded for a 2023. I did nothing mechanically to that truck except shocks and air compresser. From here I will tell you what I did and would do going forward with it. Changed oil every 10,000 miles/filter every...

Potential buyer… issues online from loud minority or reason for concern?

I had a 2011Yukon Denali XL. Only put 203,000 miles on it. The ONLY things I had done to it was to replace two exhaust manifold bolts (which were a known problem), front and rear air leveling shocks along with the air compressor, spark plugs twice, and upgraded to front and rear Helwig sway...

    Best Aftermarket Air Filter?

Believe what Project Farm says. That is a damn good test with a couple of pleasant surprises. K&N are track filters only. You will pick up additional hp/tq, but not enough to notice.

Getting your oil checked for foreign metals

In my brilliance I came up with the idea of an independent oil analysis, since GM will only let me know if my engine will fail until after it fails. That is one way to lower the cost of stupidity. I sent a message to Lake Speed at SpeedDiagnostics for a recommendation as to how to do it...

    Michelin Defender Alternatives

I just bought the Pirelli Scorpion AS Plus 3 for my 2021 f150 Lariat 4wd. These are the street tire Scorpions. I had the more aggressive factory all season Scorpions. I ran these Scorpion AS Plus 3 on my 2014 F150 XLT as well. These tires are noticeably quieter than the factory Scorpions...

Supercruise is worth it in 2025?

I have a 23 Yukon Denali XL. My experience has not been as good as others. The moral of my story is it is just not ready for prime time yet. Moderatively heavy traffic hurts its performance. I tried it coming back up from the Valley to Dallas. Lane centering is not good. It gets...

    Air suspension issue

It looks like your wheels are stock, so this is the reason for the question. Did you have encounter any problems with those 305's being too wide for the wheel? It does not look from the pictures that there is too much overhang on the wheels, so I am thinking maybe they are 9-10" wide? Great...

GM now offering the Factory Service Manual as a subscription?!?

I used to buy service manuals when I bought a new car. I realized I was not really using them like I did my 74 Cutlass. I quit buying them. Now all I buy is owner manuals. My 23 GMC manual is 400+ pages and my 21 F150 is 800+ pages.

BREAKING: GM is officially recalling the L87

Thank you for the verification. I just wanted to know how much of this I will be responsible for. 1. The only way I know it will fail is if it fails. That is obvious. But, it can fail on the highway. Pulling my fishing boat out of the water. Going to my ballet lessons. I just don't know...

    Air suspension issue

One thing to consider with your problem. First, I have no problems with my air suspension. 2023 GMC Yukon Denali XL. I like it. The wife (her Car) likes it. But let me tell you a little story you might think about. So, about to leave for a road trip. 23,000 miles on the Yukon. Tire wear...

BREAKING: GM is officially recalling the L87

What I understand from the letter: 1) We will Pico when we have an engine laying around for replacement. If it fails, then engine will be replaced. Story over. 2) If it passes, then they do an oil change to 0/40. Most important: they change the cap. 3) Do they extend the warranty at this...

LZ0 Duramax Decision - Input Requested

The air ride suspension is definitely worth it. Just make sure when you take it in for alignment you tell the service manager, the service representative, and the janitor to read the owners manual prior to doing it. Your tires might last another 1,000 miles otherwise. No question in my mind...
