I ordered mine a week ago, I think they were on vacation. Then on Monday this week it said UPS label has been printed but its been now 4 days and nothing has been updated so I have no idea when I will get mine. Feels like the 2 longest weeks in my life, I ugess I am just that excited about...
That is a sick build! I love that you pulled the cab and did it the correct way! Also I like your exhaust set up, what muffler is in there? How much did the tunning cost for something like this? I have been around tunning of european cars so I have no idea how expensive or inexpensive it is...
If you change your thermostat to a lower temperature make sure you correclty tell the ECU what you got in there so its not trying to fight a lower temp thermostat.
For example. I went from 203F OEM thermostat to a 194F and that change is set in the calibration.
If you want to remove some engine load from the AC systme during heavy accelaration you can set the AC Disable speed to say 3000rpm.
The AC will not function above that RPM, and will re-enable under the next setting which in my case is 2900RPM.
This may not seem like much but it will allow...
When you are driving in overdrive lets say steady state highway speed say 70mph and you are holding around the 10-30rpm slip consistently and you encounter a hill where the load on the clutch exceeds the ability for the clutch material to grab and all of a sudden you have a major slipping...
I looked through a couple base calibration files on 5.3 and 6.2 and I only found police calibrations to trigger higher oil pressrue at 3500rpm the rest of them are set to 7000rpm so you are correct with oil shearing out of viscosity, fuel dilution and high engine load on highways while the pump...
I run 275/65/18 tire which measures something like 32.9" in diameter, the number that I had to enter to adjust speedo was 31.2" and now its spot on accurate to the GPS values. So if you are wanting to adjust the speedo you can either calculate the percentage difference and subtract that from...
I got AutoSync on order, it finally shipped and should be here ina few days. I assume its locked to a vin correct, aka I cant use it also on my Escalade.
I ordered the AutoSync last week, I think they are out on vacation because the order has not been fullfilled yet. I can not wait to get my hands on this. One of the main reasons is I want to disable the Bulb Out Warning which will remove the hyperflash and I can run some serious LED bulbs. On...
Swapped my grille for honeycomb. I like the oem RST unit but mine is damaged due to bird strike and it needs to be welded professionally. It may go back on it some day but for now I’m liking this new one a lot.
Yes and this is my own view on it so hear me out. All of these 6L80 transmissions were designed with smoothness in mind to cope with the engine going between V4 and V8 modes there is a lot of stress that gets sent through the system and if the transmission link to the engine is more rigid the...
I bought a 2020 suburban with 246k miles. Prior owner was a president of a staffing company so this was his work vehicle and with that it got a lot of work and maintenance at the dealer, also oil changes every 6weeks and thats how it racked up over 50k miles a year. Its now sitting at 255k and...
I am sure most of you are familiar with Charm.li (https://charm.li/) site which had repair manuals up to 2013.
The latest GEN 2 CHARM.LI now has repair manuals all the way to 2025.
Enjoy.

30% on front. 50% on sunroof.
Windshield will be 70% (it got a crack and needs replaced which is why we did not do it now) and the rear windows will be either 70 or 50. The rears do not need to be darker I just want the heat rejection and the safety if they ever were to break, it will keep...
So it was 360$ for the entire truck including windshield. I got the 2 windows and sunroof tinted for 160 and on second appointment they will tint the rest of it for 200 with highest grade ceramic tint. I’m still surprised how you don’t feel any heat in your arm when the sun is shining through...
Not sure if you are interested in some AT tire but check out the NOKIAN OUTPOST ATP they make them here in the US and they are awesome tires. Also I am on Falken Wildpeaks at the moment and I really like those tires and how they perform, soft quiet and with a ton of grip on loose gravel.
Alright with gas prices going up and UPPPP, here is a little trick to increasing MPGs for free. If you look at your door plaque it calls for something like 33-35psi for the tire pressure. Go ahead and bump that up to 40psi and you will see improvement sometimes as much as 1mpg if not more...
Another option around that is to drill holes in the back of the wheel to allow the studs to fit into the wheel usually, 1/4" is required. But also what you did, the cut method works as well. I am using only RAM wheels on mine and all of them have pockets in the back and allow for studs to...
Couple months ago I was on I75 and driving doing my thing and I kept noticing lug nuts bouncing all over the highway, did not know where they were coming from until the Amazon delivery van in the lane next to me all the sudden started to have massive vibrations in the front left tire and the...
I am a little bit jealous, I manage 18-19 on my 5.3L but V8 only mode and I have the 3.08 gears whcih should be the best for MPGs but for whatever reason its not frequently hitting 20s. Yours is rocking it.
Here is the story on the photo with the frame off... looks like it was a frame swap.
