    Fuel Economy Tanked

    I’ve been in California for a couple months and it appears my fuel mileage has decreased. Researched CAs biodiesel and apparently biodiesel is less energy dense, 10%. That seems about the same ratio decrease in mpg I’m getting. Upside is, biodiesel has better lubricity, fuel pump lubtication.

    I suspect that using 0w40 would be fine. They would have to prove that using 0w40 was the cause of the failure. That would be a tough argument when part of the fix for suspect motors is using 0w40.

    If you meet your states lemon law requirements, push for the price you want. Once returned as a lemon it must be resold as a lemon, that’s your leverage.

    Having oil changed at dealership. Talking to them it sounds like thrust bearing is becoming a big deal, they have two in the shop now with failed bearing. Gm is really becoming a shit show.
