    We are finalizing the bid, replacing the concrete roof tiles soon…. The bid price, $31,000 , is about $6,000 less than a one story ( more simple roof across the street ), because we are paying for it, not insurance )

    If the dealer “fixes” the problem, … but the problem returns, from my past experience with dealers, when you bring it back for the same problem, THE SECOND TIME, the specific problem becomes covered without a milage or calendar limit. ( Then they REALLY try to fix it ?? ) I read the fine print...

    I didn’t mean to sound that way….. The new ones are beautiful ! I was imagining …someone would create an alternative service manual to address all the glitches. The newer models should be as reliable as the ’99 - ’06 versions.

    Replacing steering box?? Or what ?

    My whole front suspension & tierods, etc are new. My new steering box was hand built w/ all new parts including , they did the seal fixes that the GM version was known to fail.

    In Florida, if you want to pull out a plant, you just pull it….. only sand… no clay dirt.. Also in a rain, the rain run off along the streets, the water is clear due to sand, not brown dirty water.

    Trust me I get it……. I’ve seen horizontal 2x4 fire blocking knocked down, instead of the electricians drilling a hole for wires through wood…. I’ve seen condo-sharing walls with sheetrock ONLY behind elect. outlets to ‘simulate’ full sheets of sheetrock between units. Foundation steel...

    I’ve been a construction assistant superintendent….. YES YOU DO NEED TO MICRO-MANAGE ( to a point ) I also was a building inspector……. You gotta ‘em like a hawk !! ( Some roofs leak after a few years during a rain storm…… It’s not due to the roofing materials… It’s due to the installers...
