Its been 8 months, no issues, yes its an opaque vinyl and you see the bulbs through the wrap, it just dims the reflectors down a bit. You can get various levels just like window tint so it can be customized to your preferences.
For what its worth....
I asked a GM Engineer if I could add the OEM CAI and the Performance Exhaust to my 25 Tahoe High Country 6.2L.
He said you can but its not recommended because when its installed by GM the truck goes to GM's aftermarket upfitter Kerr Industries. The VIN serialized parts...
I have a High Country which came with the OEM chrome trims and bright machined wheels. I had a shop pull the grill, all the chrome trim and they did liquid vinyl to all trim pieces except roof rack rail and door handles. Those were done in an OE black wrap. The benefit of having the blackout...
I was in the same boat as you, I wanted the RST look. But after seeing the features that were unavailable on the RST compared to High Country I went High Country.
Did the chrome delete Blackout so no chrome and had the wheels powder coated gloss black so I got the appearance of the RST with...
Something to think about......Have you driven the 25 Traverse yet and actually heard the difference in engine noise vs anecdotal comments from magazines and You-tubers?
My kid bought a 25 Traverse RS in black its gorgeous and fully loaded with SuperCruise, it looks like a mini Tahoe inside and...

Charged the battery and then a successful update.
Just wondering...
I saw this today as it appears NHTSA is investigating L87 failures in 2025/26 model year vehicles that GM said had no risk as they were built after the issue was corrected.
As was said above thats a safety feature by design. Remember they have to design to the dumbest owner out there. The one who drives all winter with HVAC shutoff and cant figure out why their windows are all covered in moisture. Its the same reason why even in winter the newer HVAC system...
I know California laws are usually different then the rest of the country but isn't that Fraud?
Did you ever look at California Dept of Consumer Affairs?.....or waste of time?
That is so true and happens way more then customers think because as a customer we have no way of knowing if the dealership is lying and they never had allocation when they unethically took your order.
I tried several dealerships and discount sites online but those Tahoe PPV wheels are around $400ea no matter where you go so aftermarket wheels might be the better call.
I agree, thats all I have ever had on previous vehicles too. I was more interested to know what the consensus was on buying 20" steel wheels or just maintaining the 22" OE wheels and getting snow tires installed every year.
I have always had separate steel winter rims and winter tires but...
