    Newbie

2000 was a crossover year where gm made some obs and some nbs as such it is wise to order parts for 2001 otherwise no telling if you will get the right part or not. in 2003 they made more changes, so "some" parts are only compatible 00-02. that's your parts window for things like door panels...

Transmission fluid in Oil 2008 GMC Yukon XL

there is no physical connection of the transmission fluid and engine oil there is a possibility of coolant mixing with the oil, but that generally makes a milk shake, smoke out the tail pipe. there would be telltale signs under the oil fill cap, looking like nose snot, overheating. eventually...

I found a way to use my rear entertainment through my phone. Now watching TV

unless you can figure out a way to get both video and charge it at the same time it's not going to "stream" for several hours. your probably better off using the phone as a hotspot of get a hotspot and use a roku stick or similar device that can connect wireless

Yes I have used it on all 3 of ours, it's going to work on pretty much anything unless it's something exotic I turn it on at least every couple months and there's always a new update, it's connected to my wifi and it's ask's if i want to install the update. so you can decline and do it later if...

Issue After Brake Rotor & Pad Replacement

I always use brake clean on new rotors, It "supposedly" removes any coating they put on them to prevent rust while stored on the shelf. it's invisible so hard to say.

Issue After Brake Rotor & Pad Replacement

when breaking in new pads/rotors you don't need to and should not go crazy with it. multiple 40-down to-20 "easy" braking over several blocks is all it takes. vary it up a little after that. 50-to-15, etc a few times. no full stops until you have done the above multiple times and when you do the...

5.3 misfire on cylinder 8 on throttle lift - SOLVED

well that's a good thing, many people cannot detect the minor differences. Doing what I described is how I found 3 out of 8 poorly performing coil packs, no codes, no misfires but I could detect it by spidey sense I suppose. if you are sensitive enough you should be able to compare how one...

5.3 misfire on cylinder 8 on throttle lift - SOLVED

you might try disconnecting coil packs 1 at a time and see if you can find the problem that way, you have to be able to feel it though. disconnecting a coil will make it rougher, but at the same time smoother if that one is funky. just something to check if you are not getting misfire counts or...

Left Rear window not going up or down from master switch or Left Rear door switch

If it was the rear switch it would still work from the drivers switch, but you can try swapping switches anyway, they just pop out, if no change pull the door panel and check the motor with 12v. if the motor tries to move but the window does not then you need a regulator, if nothing happens then...

    Cruise control

i'm guessing it may take a little more troubleshooting, the backup sensor and camera may also be a clue if there is corrosion or a short, etc the cruise may not engage

    Cruise control

the service suspension might be a clue, it could be causing erratic voltage or other interference, if stabiltrac is off that would be why no cruise If you see codes like C0575 (Left Front Shock Actuator Circuit) or C0660 (Leveling Compressor Relay), the issue is isolated to the suspension...

    Cruise control

the service suspension could be why, depending i suppose. part of how stabiltrac and everything works uses data from all 4 wheels, yaw, steering, etc there is a laundry list of reasons why cruise "might" not work

    Cruise control

Does the light turn on, on the steering wheel when you press the button on? if not then check all your fuses. doesn't mean it will work if the light is on, it's just one thing to verify
  24. Doubeleive

    Cruise control

have you scanned the obd port to see if there is any codes? cruise will not work if there is a cel light or brakes not working, the brake switch has two readings one is a resting point reading. cruise may also not work if you have certain led brake light bulbs installed
