Planning Dual 12" Rockville Install: Can I bypass Bose "Bass Choke" without a full rewire?

there was a brief period in the 80's where 200w meant 200w and you actually might get something that exceeded that, but that's all history now

Planning Dual 12" Rockville Install: Can I bypass Bose "Bass Choke" without a full rewire?

the factory wiring is good up to 200w (door speakers, etc) if you can get 200w door speakers in and slapping kudos to you normal installs are going to be peak only, ya the amp may say it's 300w and the speakers may handle 300w but that's all peak, it's going to be about 1/2 of that in realty...

Planning Dual 12" Rockville Install: Can I bypass Bose "Bass Choke" without a full rewire?

people will go and buy new door speakers and install them and then it sounds like a turd, why? because the ohm's are not what Bose used. and they use filters on all channels so the old speaker was say a 1-way and you put in two-way even if the ohm's match it's not going to sound like what you...

Planning Dual 12" Rockville Install: Can I bypass Bose "Bass Choke" without a full rewire?

The hardest part is handing out the money, cheap parts = cheap results, that's just how it goes, especially in car audio. you can leave the factory amp in there and just bypass it completely if need be the goal in replacing a bose system is to beat the bose sound, bose uses trickery to produce...

apparently they have in some cases decided to put the owners manual in the chevy/gmc app, because the print version is to large. It is also available online on the general motors website in .pdf format you probably should have received the card, I would go back and request it.

    6.2 High RPM Misfire

keep in mind out of spec fuel trims are a symptom, not the cause. (like a runny nose is the symptom of a cold) in any case you will need to dig deeper to find the cause These number are not set in stone there just for reference, the fuel trims can be reset and will self relearn, seeing...

Planning Dual 12" Rockville Install: Can I bypass Bose "Bass Choke" without a full rewire?

And if you have to cut a harness leave some length to be able to patch it back later if need be, cutting too short is a problem down the road if you decide to sell it or whatever and want to keep your equipment for another vehicle

    6.2 High RPM Misfire

that data is not what you want to look at it, I mean it is just for basics but what you need to see is knock retard, and individual misfire counts and maybe 02 sensor data. This needs to be looked at while in high rpm/under a load with the problem occurring in real time. (also during cold start...
