What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Yeah, it does. It appears to be intended as a cost-saving measure, but it's going to drive non-commercial customers to other providers. FedEx is now far superior in this regard and I don't even think about UPS as my first or a desired option, when I can go to a FedEx Office that's not even a...

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Yes, I saw that you did. I wasn't disputing any of your personal experience, just passing along information on how things are supposedly operating now. I hope it's still available for you in your location. It isn't available for me in my local area any longer.

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Just two links on this -- feel free to find more if you still don't believe it: https://rleonard.substack.com/p/ups-service-centers-close-in-rural Check for yourself. Try going on https://www.ups.com (or if you use it, the UPS app on your phone) and looking for UPS centers (not UPS Stores)...

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

It might not be possible to do that now. UPS recently closed all (or most) service centers at hubs. It sucks, because being able to hold stuff there or drop stuff more directly was great.

    Fastener Torque Specs

The service manual I downloaded from https://charm.li/ has the values within the service instructions, but not in any separate lists of torques (that I have run across, at least).

    Power Steering Hose Replacement

This is like "inflammable" meaning "flammable." "Cap off" means to put a cap on, not "remove the cap." Think of what's done when an oil well is decommissioned -- it's capped off.

How Likely Is It That These Three Items Will Need Replacement When I Do Shocks?

Thanks for the input. I did say in the last paragraph that I was going to replace those.

How Likely Is It That These Three Items Will Need Replacement When I Do Shocks?

Thanks for the input, @Badge. Yep, it's a Z55 setup. That diagram is just a parts diagram from GM Parts Direct, it's not an engineering drawing, so it doesn't have to be exact on the details. When you're on the parts page, the components associated with the numbered items in the picture have...

How Likely Is It That These Three Items Will Need Replacement When I Do Shocks?

Thanks for the suggestion on pre-juicing the nuts -- doing that kind of thing is already a habit of mine. Thankfully, I live in Georgia and the truck has been in Georgia since its original purchase and is essentially corrosion-free. I am pretty wary of that style of compressor. I have...

How Likely Is It That These Three Items Will Need Replacement When I Do Shocks?

Thanks for the suggestions. It's extra effort, but I guess I can drop the assemblies ahead of time to inspect the items more closely before I order parts. The trim height* is within specifications and the rake is 1.00° forward as measured at the rocker panels*, so the springs haven't sagged...

How Likely Is It That These Three Items Will Need Replacement When I Do Shocks?

Y'all, I'm about to do the shocks on my '13 LTZ with ~200K miles. As per the title, how likely is it that #s 12, 13, and 15 will need to be replaced? If they do not look degraded while inspecting the assembly when it's in the vehicle, will that be an accurate assessment? In my experience...

Unfortunately, those prices have gone up a good bit. Now it's $1,575 for all of that.

Oil Leak Above Oil Filter on 5.3 Engine

YEAH, YOU TELL GM WHAT'S WHAT! Why do so many folks mix up "definitely" and "defiantly"? :p

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Maybe I'm overly particular about not blasting general areas when I want to lube a specific part. For the hinges, I use Tri-Flow in the squeeze bottle with the extension tube. It goes directly where I want it, no cleanup necessary.

    GM 6L80 Transmission Information Thread

To be clear, I wasn't saying otherwise. My point is that it's not on the hot inlet side of the radiator where the coolant is at engine temperature, it's on the cool(er) outlet side after it's gone through the radiator. Yes, the temperature will be raised by the fluid on the outlet side, but...

    GM 6L80 Transmission Information Thread

The trans cooler is in the outlet side of the radiator, so the trans fluid can't be brought up to the coolant temperature of the engine. This assumes, of course, that you're not in a situation where the radiator isn't cooling and thus the outlet temperature is close to the inlet temperature...

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

My intention for every mod on my Tahoe has been to be reversible, and preferably on the easy side of reversible. However, now that I'm finally getting around to installing the Yakima rails in place of the factory roof rack...

    Brake bleed question

Unless you're going to measure out the total distance of each line, the right rear is not necessarily the furthest, and I don't believe the concept of bleeding the "furthest" is much more than an old mechanic's tale anyhow when you're just bleeding old fluid and not trying to remove air from...

    Brake bleed question

There's no functional difference between the two methods, so do whatever is more convenient. Just don't screw up and do something like forgetting to keep the bleeder topped up between corners.

    Rock Auto

While I believe the "kids these days only know how to scroll on their phone" trope has a lot of validity, the most incompetence I've ever had at auto parts stores and hardware stores have been from Boomers and Gen X'ers (I'm Gen X, FWIW). A few examples... * Installing a manual transmission in...

Yes, I used them six years ago for a '94 Camry antenna mast. $15.18 for the part and $9.95 for the shipping. If I recall correctly, I used them because they were the only ones who had it in stock.

Where? I looked around on his user page just now and didn't run across a post regarding that. I just did a $375 order yesterday, so it won't be a help now, but it'll be good to know for the future.

Has anyone ever done a chargeback with them? Sure, they'd ban you for life, but if you'd been screwed, would you use them again anyhow?
