    recently during afternoon down pours I stopped, selected park, changed to auto from 2H and expected the 4x4 light to come one. it did not, so selected 4H still no 4x4 light. turned back to 2H and continued on my way. and now the "service 4wd" notification..oh joy.. 2016 Tahoe LTZ 5.3 / 6L80...

    6L80 to 10L90 swap? Seeking insight on a 10 speed transmission upgrade

    So obviously the 10 speed TCM is different than the one for 6 speed. Transmission harness also different.? So why would you need to tune TCM if it's from +2018 Tahoe? The engine still a 5.3.

    Fans run like the engine is overheating, coolant gauge reads no temperature, A/C disengaged.

    so replaced the thermostat & housing (can we find the thermostat by itself?). only could find a 207 thermostat. will hunt for the factory after turkey weekend. The fans did not come on. warmed to 210. Have gas up later today for a "test drive". knock on wood.
