    Spark plugs

    please gap your spark plugs..don't relay on the gap the plugs are when they come out of the box. when I replaced plugs & wires..the gaps ranged from 0.041 to 0.045. The new plugs all gapped to 0.039 to 0.041.

    I just noticed you have 10L80 tranny. so my comments were from my 6l80. the rear of the y-pipe had a large clamp to cat-back section. no hangers, just fun with dropping the y-pipe. removing the O2 sensors from y-pipe was a "piece of mind" thing so you don't damage them.

    2017 Tahoe catalytic converter replacement

    P0420..cat inefficiency code for down stream O2 sensor. check rock auto for replacement rear O2 sensor before replacing the Y-Pipe. And actually replacing the Y-pipe can be done in less than an hour if you have access to a lift. I had to drop my Y-pipe when I replaced my torque converter.

    the rear crossmember behind the tranny & cross pipe make things easier. I know when I replace the tranny pan (the one with a drain bolt) I will have the enjoyment of doing the Y-Pipe drop again.. yes, you can do it with truck on ramps, but easier on a lift.
