    SC vs Full Engine Build

It seems to be more of a Midwest thing. The land of corn. Generally about a buck cheaper per gallon at the expense of a bit of MPG. Higher octane rating. One draw back on our rigs is that it takes about 15 minutes of run time before the O2 sensor determines the amount of alcohol in the fuel...

I currently have 3.73's. Soon to be 4 88's to match with 37" rubber. Might have to try for a 4 wheel burn out on the stock rubber first..

    SC vs Full Engine Build

I'm not sure if I agree that the suspension won't plant it. The link set up is far superior to leafs, zero axle wrap. I'm not making massive power but it hooks like velcro. On a roll in second at the hit the 2-1 shift comes very close to picking the front tires off. It's violent but isn't ot...

On the bright side I was replacing thee tranny. On the down side I needed to swap the bell housing over. A hundred miles and a hundred bucks later we were back to business. I don't want to talk about the various other connectors he broke. I kept wondering how he was accomplishing the various...

Not having low range off road is no good. Very shortly I will be upgrading to an Atlas 4 speed. My last 'test' session stretched my T-case chain badly.

    SC vs Full Engine Build

From my experience nothing makes heads swivel around my like a nasty cam chop. It triggers something primal. But bang for the buck and ease of living with on a daily basis a SC wins hands down. It's mother GM's choice from the factory..

    Vibrations. Stumped for now.

Out of curiosity I have to ask, why were the O2 sensors replaced? You know these trucks have six of them. One in each manifold and two in each down pipe.

If everything is right with the ignition system it shouldn't be showing misfires at all. The other bank isn't showing them. I've been down this road . One bad coil and one bad wire. It may be your converter but the symptoms you've described have ignition written all over them. Good luck.

    Vibrations. Stumped for now.

If your O2 sensor on that bank is a little lazy it won't be very accurate at catching misfire. The fact that it's showing any at all is a strong indication that it's much worse than you think.

    The impossible dream?

The wild part is how often people think it really is an AT4 and ask me where I got it. I just tell them it was an early prototype, probably the only one in existence.

High ouput alternator and serpentine belt

I installed a 350 amp H.O. that had a smaller pulley. Required a one inch shorter belt. Napa parts man figured it out. I like the smaller pulley for better proformance at idle and improved cooling. Set up for overlanding my power requirements are ridiculously high. Keep your cables clean.
