    GMT900 Engine removal options

    I unbolted the a/c pump, removed the radiator to avoid damage and went over the support. Left the exhaust manifolds on. Unbolt the tranny from the rear cross member and jack it up a bit, upper bell housing bolts are easier to get to.

    Trail'd. 14 gals. Safe to drink from. A bit expensive, as everything related to offloading is. Mounted a pump under there as well. Open road shower and water heater.

    Just did a little looking, 500 give or take for a 4' by 4' sheet. Might be enough left over for the muffler area.Need to sheild my water tank as well.

    I'm thinking of bolting to the bottom of the frame rail and some uprights to the bottom of the body on the other side of the tank. It should be tempered aluminum for strength. 3/8th's?

    Just realized I didn't have the Apocs installed in those pics, either way it flexes the same.

    Apoc arms will flex a lot. Not sure for how long. I'm running shocks 3" longer than stock with a 3" extension on the lower mount.

    I've had no luck finding anything as well. It's surprising that Asmir doesn't offer anything considering their offerings for the rest of the underbody. Another arts and crafts project. Aluminum.

    I should have been more clear, I currently have track motive as well. RCV's will be installed when I do the long travel kit and 9 1/4 front diff.

    I have those shafts on my yukon. 3.5 lift I don't have enough miles on it to verify longevity but in durability testing the rear driveline grenaded while they remained unfazed.

    RCV custom made shafts may be your only option for that much lift. It's going to get expensive. What brand lift did you use?

    Izzy Fab.. nice stuff but they **** you. I ordered dirt King control arms. 3.5" wider per side. Going with fox remote coil overs and triple bypass sh.

    Ordered some more ridiculous over priced parts today. This long travel suspension game is absolutely crushing to the bank account. B.J Baldwin has my respect.

    I replaced the pad well over a year ago, must have only cracked it to 147lbs..

    Need a Quieter Muffler for Headers

    I'm pretty happy with the dynomax I installed. Different set up though. Single exhaust, 3 inch in and out. Offset, straight through. Don't recall the part # but it's the longest one they offer. Nice rumble, no drone. I tried a Borla Attak..little to aggressive for my taste.

    Swapping them out before the headers go on will save you a lot of grief. In the near future I am removing the inner and outer fenders for something better. (Long travel suspension) At that time I will trade out the passenger side mount, it's just to difficult to do at this time I used...
