Oil sending unit bit the dust, valve covers are beginning to seep, gonna replace knock sensors and harness and intake manifold gaskets... and this little shit head right here! Heard lil rattle and found a broken intake manifold bolt.

I graduated high school in 2004 and definitely couldn’t have drove this thing off the lot lol
Not to mention I would never buy a vehicle brand new...
So not technically the piston bc if it was a slap it’d typically goes away with acceleration. But more or less a piston wrist pin but killing a the cylinder won’t give that away. You said it’ll go away after the engine warms up.
I’m not convinced that’s rod knock. I’ve never heard a rod knock to be that prominent at idle. I’d be more leery of a piston. But you can check for that while engine is idling by shorting out each plug one at a time.
Pull a door panel and check for signal with a multimeter. If no signal then pull the big cubby from the center console and check at the amp for an output signal.
You can check the amp operation like in the video I made. If this solves your problem then your amp is going out.
Remove the center console cubby and using a hairdryer, warm up the amp.
