Original suspension also means its more worn and floaty then then the 15 year newer one. However I like a more floaty ride as long as it's not so floaty it's not swaying all over the place.
I'd kinda say I liked the ride of my 2004 better but it was just different. Rims and tires also make a...
Get another 02-06 if you can find one. 07-13 were prone to rust and the 90s ones are even simpler with the older 350 drivetrain but they're bad on gas and aren't as refined as the 2000s ones are. And pretty hard to find clean ones these days.
While we have a 2017 and happy with it I'm still...
If you're using factory rims with the proper tire sizes you don't need spacers. If you bout some random wheel and tire combination it's a gamble if they'll fit or not.
That it ran on its own when you release the air seems to indicate that it's sort of working properly and holding air. There's a ride height sensor back there, maybe it's not adjusted right or not working so it thinks there's a load and going to full pressure because nothing is stopping it. I'm...
I've heard a lot over the years that it's the worn out clutch material in the fluid that keeps those ones working. At the same time if someone's neglected a transmission that long and wants it serviced a lot of the time it's because they've noticed it's acting differently and hoping the flush...
I think mine are sunk more then that.
You can probably unscrew them a bit to raise them and still be on the rod enough to not pull right off. Or replace them with longer ones if someone is so worried.
Doubelieve is right. I tried my 2017 and it's completely mechanical. As you pull the inside door handle the lock knob comes up at the exact same speed. Pull the handle a second time and it opens. All 4 doors work that way. Unless something in the mechanism breaks there is no way to lock yourself...
It sounds more like a battery problem, if not it will be if it's going dead that many times. Is there anything plugged in that could be draining it or light not shutting off?
It should still be under warranty at that age but it usually doesn't cover batteries. Some part stores do charging system...
Things like sensors can fail any time or last forever. New obes can be defective and fail prematurely. So they still fall under the if ain't broke don't touch it category.
Browse through this section of the forum and you'll get an idea.
It's typically said to avoid the 15&16 models.
The oldest of these is 10 years old now so there's also the normal age stuff to watch for. But they hold up a lot better then the 07-14s did.
If they want to play that game keep after them about the vibration. They should be happy to do the road force balancing to try solving the problem. It could well be they don't have their own machine and they're taking it somewhere else.
Road balancing is for a better balance. If they can't balance it properly with a normal machine either there's something wrong with a rim or tire. Or the machine or the person doing it.. which might be it since they've admitted to screwing it up the first time.
Guess that comes down to how much do you really need the extra space and would it be more convenient for you to have the shorter vehicle? For my needs I've rarely needed the extra space but there are a lot of times where I don't like taking a bigger vehicle.
Flat front bench seats aren't as comfortable as buckets. The kind with bench shaped Driver and passenger sides are usually as comfortable but the center is even worse.
Flip down center arm rest is usually nicer to use as an arm rest then consoles sometimes strange placed top but storage isn't...
If you can swap the wheels around yourself you could try putting the front wheels on the back. That you can feel it in the steering wheel and it started after new tires would typically point to a problem with either balance or tire that's on the front.
The 2 seats front row comes down to how often do you need 3 people sitting up front vs the convenience of having the console. It's nothing new, 2 seats and console was also very common in the old full size Broncos.
What's dumber is how common the second row captains chairs are. It does give...
