    You can get aftermarket kits that heat the fluid. I don't know how well they work but they've been around for over 20 years so either they work OK or a lot of suckers keep trying it?

    I'd tend to want to take the Tahoe for better comfort. Toyota might have better traction but the Tahoe has better ground clearance so you can run into problems either way.

    The only down side of the factory hitches is they have limited weight capacity which can become an issue if you are towing something really heavy like car trailer or bigger camper. I don't know what the dealer bought ones are but the pre installed ones were usually like 5,000lbs.

    The 2 speed transfer cases can be shifted into neutral to totally disengage everything. I don't think the single speed ones can.

    Look underneath yours for the plugs. There's a big one under each front door and a couple more on driver side for the module. If they're not there it's not pre wired.

    The tow package comes with the integrated brake controller, they all come standard with the hitch. Googling that trailer its 6,000lb total weight so that's a few hundred pounds lower then your max towing capacity. It should do the job ok and you can always look at different suspension, hitch...

    At the end of the day you get what you pay for. You saved money by buying one with higher miles but you're that much closer to having to do more work to it. But it looks like you got a good deal on it. And one with less miles can still need brake and suspension work.

    I put a new 6.0 in my 13 Tahoe a couple of years back. Exhaust question now.

    The extra length of the vehicle is in the rear foot area and 1/4 panel so that should be where the exhaust needs shortening for the different components to match up to the body properly.
