    Lower Control Arms

I'm in the camp of only replacing front end parts when its needed because a lot of those parts last a long time and quite often the new parts don't last as long as original stuff. Tie rod ends don't need to be replaced when they aren't worn out unless the boots are damaged and letting...

gmpartsdirect.com: cancel order and chargeback or wait for order to be completed?

I've used Tasca and a few other online places before with good luck. All the GM type sitws are normal dealers that sell online so in some cases the delay is at the warehouse side. Then of course some places are slow in general with their shipping and others might be quick if they have the part...

Y'all's Thoughts on Torquing Bolts Correctly, Please

Beam type torque wrenches are more accurate then click type. The only problem with them is that you need to have a clear view of it so the click type or digital with lights and sound is a lot more convenient. Digital comes down to quality and how well they were calibrated to begin with.

Does your Tahoe LS not have the 4 low option? I need a new selector switch for mine.

It reads like he's only trying to find a replacement switch.

    Battery blankets anyone?

One of my trucks came with a factory one. We have several days a year of those super cold temps and unless the battery is older it's never been an issue. But yjose super cold temps are when battery problems show up so it doesn't hurt to have one.

    1993 Yukon gt needs transmission

It was somewhere around $1,500 we paid a few years ago to have the one in ours rebuilt. That was pre-pandemic.

Rear door seals doesn't hold the dirt from the outside

A new seal would probably help a but that's one of the down sides to how GM overlaps their rear door like that.

    Back chrome trim falling off

That looks like aftermarket stuck on over the original painted trim piece. It looks like you can even see the double sided tape in the second pic. Try carefully pulling it off further you'll have to do that anyway to reattach it and if something else is holding it in it'll be obvious.

Even when they're made by the same manufacturer they're still specifics their different customers require so they're not all created equal.

    Replacement Battery

Most batteries aren't lasting as long as they used to. After going through a lot of omes that were junk I've had the most luck with Walmart batteries. Delcos used to be decent but not in a long time. AGM batteries aren't what they used to be either.

Does your Tahoe LS not have the 4 low option? I need a new selector switch for mine.

Alldata won't help find the switch. Rock auto has it. It shows GM part # 20860450

Opinions on the previous generation of tahoes or Yukons?

The brakes are fine and have no problem stopping but once again they are like typical GM truck brakes of the time and there's a big difference in pedal feel compared to newer vehicles. You definitely notice it if you haven't driven those vehicles in a while.

Opinions on the previous generation of tahoes or Yukons?

Having had both I like the older ones for simplicity, parts can be cheaper to buy, and a lot of parts are more durable. I like the look of them and the 00-06 Yukon about the same. Driving goes to the newer one by a long shot. The OBS ones drive like the old truck they are compared to the 2000s...

    Looking at buying this 2004

I cant access the videos. Its normal for oil pressure to be lower warmed up and at idle and fluctuate with rpm and the dash guage isn't as accurate as a mechanical test guage. The big issue is if it has lifter tick and oil pressure light on or flickering at idle.

Manual Park Release 2021-2024 Models For Towing Or Other Reasons

They only mention parking brake in the manual with the transfer case neutral because a lot of people wouldn't think about park no longer working when the druvetrain is disconnected like that until it starts rolling. You'd think they would have built in a safe way of shifting out of park from...

Did you check the rad hoses or heater hoses? Rad hoses should have a difference like that the heater hoses shouldn't be as noticeable but both should be warm.

2016 Yukon Denali Intermittent Starting Issues

Listen for clicks or any noises when the key is turned to start. If its not a loose connection somewhere it's very common for starters to not do anything when they go bad. Trying a few times like that can sometimes make them move enough to get past the bad point but will do it again the next...

    Spare Tire Pressure Sensor

It could be one if those things that's only there and won't work unless it was already built into the vehicle as an option.. which could well be if it's a requirement of some foreign market to monitor the spare tire. Which in a way isn't a bad idea.

Polished Aluminum vs. Silver Painted Aluminum Wheels? Pro's/Con's

They should both be as easy to clean. Like what's been said the polished ones aren't bare. Usually chrome rims hold up better then the other ones but once they get damage the chrome starts peeling and looks horrible whereas the others you can usually clean up a bit and at least stop it from...
