[SOLVED] Advice on 2017 Hoe Prem shock replacement

It was hooked up for a month after the swap but it ran more than before. My mechanic removed the fuse, I’ve had no issues since. No warning lights or check engine lights.

[SOLVED] Advice on 2017 Hoe Prem shock replacement

I did the same on my 17. I went with the Fox Shocks. The ride seems the same as before. Plus I don’t have to listen to the compressor anymore

    Tran/torque converter advice

I’ve changed the trans oil/filter twice in the last 4 years on my 17 Premier. Mine has 133,000 miles on it. Even doing this my tc failed last week and put enough metal filings in the transmission that I need to replace it as well. I now think it’s not if but when the tc/transmission will fail

Continue with OEM Magneride or just go with Arnotts?

I went the opposite I had the Fox shocks/struts installed. The ride is the same as before my original shocks crapped out. For me cost was part of the decision. Factory parts were double compared with aftermarket. That’s not counting the compressor.

    2019 Tahoe Premier, Rough Ride

My 17 Premier had the same issue. All 4 shocks were blown. My mechanic suggested replacing the mag ride suspension with Fox struts and shocks. The compressor is still hooked up so I don’t have any warnings. So far so good. The ride is pretty good. It’s similar to the mag ride suspension when it...

    Suspension concern

I recently removed the mag shocks and went with the Fox shocks. The ride now is the same as before my mag shocks failed. My 17 Premier has over 120,000 miles. I don’t tow with the vehicle so I really don’t the rear air shocks, and the GM factory parts replacement price was more than double then...

    2017 Hoe LT Premier

I would replace the transmission fluid and filter. I purchased mine in 2021 with 60,000 miles. It now has 120,000 miles. In that time I’ve replaced the fluid/filter twice. Other than that it’s been mostly wear items, nothing major

    Nav update

I purchased a used usb nav update for my 17 Tahoe It won’t work, I get a message on the screen (see photo) I’m guessing the stick is bad or it can’t read the stick. I didn’t pay much for it so I’m not worried about getting my money back. I was thinking and wondering if this will even work. I’m...

    Upgrade package - exhaust/suspension/wheels

I can only answer the wheel question In my case my Tahoe came with 22 inch wheels. In the winter I have a separate set of wheels/tires. They’re off my old 06 Tahoe. They’re 17 inch rims. The tire size of the 17 inch wheels vs. The 22 inch wheels are virtually the same. I’ve swapped the 22 inch...

Those Who Moved From an '07-14 to '15+ generation... How Was It?

Not anymore. I contacted GM last year and was put on a waiting list. I just checked this past week and the message was ‘There are no longer map updates available for purchase for your navigation system via this website or at GM dealerships Thank you” That’s on the GM Navigation store

Those Who Moved From an '07-14 to '15+ generation... How Was It?

I went from an 06 Z71 Tahoe to a 17 Tahoe Premier. The 06 was bullet proof, no issues just wear items. It had the best a/c in a vehicle that I ever owned. The 17 has been pretty good. We took 3 trips to Florida (I’m here now). We also drove to Arizona this past January. I do change the oil more...

2019 Tahoe corroded freon tube leak - manfr design flaw

Yeah no kidding I had an 06 Z71 Tahoe with rear heat/ac and I never had a leak. It had the best ac of any vehicle that I ever owned. We called it the meat locker because the ac worked so well

2019 Tahoe corroded freon tube leak - manfr design flaw

I purchased a CPO 17 Tahoe Premier. A/C didn't work, it was the line you mentioned, not under warranty. The service adviser said it was a wear item. They did replace the rear evaporator as well. They covered that under warranty.

    Arizona Vacation

I had an 06 Z71 that we took on many trips. I bought it in NC in 2010. It was a great vehicle. It let me down only once. The fuel pump died in Boston just before heading home

Those are my 17 inch steel winter wheels that were from my 06 Tahoe. I have the factory 22's that I swap out in the summer.
