This was always my perspective about forums where most people come for solutions to problems, therefore, the problems will look prevalent.... and then my 2022 Denali ate a rod at 34K miles shortly after the announcement by the NHSTA. In this instance, I start to question if there is a much...
I am right there with you. My 22 is in for an engine replacement and I am debating on whether or not I keep it. I was on the fence of buying another truck, but this puts me in more of a position to give it strong consideration. My biggest problem is not knowing the full scope of the issue and...
There's no way there are only 39. My engine just let go at 34K miles and I know for a fact I'm not on that list of 39. The 39 complaints are 39 owners who filed formal complaints. I was trying to figure out how I put my name on that list but no clear answers at least on the internet.
I was going to come here and ask similar questions as I am also weighing between the 2 engines. In my case I am considering moving back to a Denali Ultimate pickup truck VS the Yukon. I have a 2022 Yukon Denali with the 6.2 that just ate a rod so I was debating switching up to the 3.0l. I...
Yeah, unreal. I was really hoping for something simple LOL. Now I am trying to figure out if I buy a 3.0 Duramax VS another 6.2. Just glad this one was still under warranty but I don't have a lot of confidence to hang on to it...
Welp, dealer confirmed the engine is blown. Waiting on what happens next. Anyone have any experience with buybacks? They said it could be a long wait time based on the current back orders on 6.2l engines.
34K miles. Bumper to Bumper just ended on 2/2/25, Powertrain is still active. I drop it off tomorrow so I will get a better idea of the situation hopefully by the end of the day. It drives completely normal aside from the noise, so I am hopeful it's not a major issue.
Having seen the post above. I was about ready to trade my Yukon in on Denali Ultimate truck. If my engine is toast, I assume my vehicle value is going to plummet? Anyone have any insight? I service my truck at the same dealer I purchased from, hoping they will take care of me if this is a...
Alright, I have a noise coming from the engine bay of my vehicle (2022 6.2l Yukon Denali), I compare it to the sound of a baseball card or piece of cardboard flapping against a bike spoke (not a tick or ping). The sound follows RPM up to about 25-30MPH and then goes away. Also, if I rev it...
At the end of the day I have discovered one thing, there is a business model out there somewhere to rent ONE WAY trucks for towing. Enterprise has a truck rental which is where I started but they do not allow one way towing so that option was out. Uhaul is insanely priced and doesn't, in a lot...
I read the rental contract in it's entirety and in no place on the contract does it state there is a financial penalty for misuse, aside from covering the cost of the repair or replacement in addition to, and in some cases, where lost rental time could be applied. All of these clauses fell...
Mechanical failure was the main thing that went through my mind, especially when they handed me the keys to a Jeep Wagoneer LOL. I think the cost to monitor outweighs the benefits. I would wager that the amount of failures they see due to towing or misuse is probably miniscule and the savings...
You're exactly correct. The only concern I had was if there was a major mechanical malfuntion, where the rental company could say that towing was the cause of the failure. I would of had to get creative with the tow truck driver if that situation arose LOL.
My insurance guy checked with underwriting and claims to verify. All stated that it doesn't matter what the rental car company says. This assumes that in the event of an accident I am not driving wreckless etc. I made sure I was very clear with him what I was doing and what the rental company...
I did not, through my research it does void the rental agreement which the biggest issue would be a total loss from an accident which was my main concern. But my insurance covers everything.
Almost all full sized SUVs are standard with hitches. Plus when you look at the rental resale market, selling a full size SUV without a hitch would be harder.
I got it done on Tuesday. All went well. They ended up giving me a Jeep Wagoneer and it pulled just fine, roughly 7 hours with a stop for gas and dinner.
