Is this a blend door issue?

On my previous 2001 Tahoe I had experienced this same issue, or is it?
When on 90deg heat setting all is great. When I lower it to 85deg it gets colder by a lot! Not cold colc but if I had to guess I would say that isn't feels more like 75 or so. Is this normal or a symptom of a blend door actuator in its way out? If it means anything, I tend to keep the heat on recirculate as I cannot tolerate the exhaust fumes from tractor trailers coming into the cabin. I'm coming over the GWB every day.

Check owner's manual. I know my 2006 Silverado activates the a/c compressor when the recirculate switch is on. Could be the same thing.
