Bad Catalytic Converter????
i had an 03 that did that. i thought it was the engine till i got it up on the lift and knocked on the cats and thats what it was... dont go much longer with it rattling.. i did.. it clogged both cats and backed up into the engine and now i have a new engine and cats...- Zumwalt

Cherry Bomb Elite or FM Series 70?
i did my 03 4.8 tahoe with a 3" thrush glasspack and no y pipe, great sound, not annoying loud and i feel a better acceleration. no cai yet. and still kept cats.- Zumwalt

Book time for engine replacement?
did my reman and got it on monday. so far so good, new plugs wires water pump cats gaskets pully.. runs ok i guess.. im just picky as hell and feel the difference- Zumwalt

Book time for engine replacement?
doing my 03 tahoe 4.8 engine right now at the dealership. got the labor down to 79$ hr. engine, parts such as seals gaskets plugs wires water pump total so far is 5900$- Zumwalt

Thanks for the replys... i live in a city where i can not trust any other shop to do good work.. im only going with the dealership cuz my uncle is the service manager and gets me discounts.. still pretty pricey but i can rely on em.. I decided to go with a new engine from jasper. dealership...- Zumwalt

2003 4.8 needs new engine
so i got the code p0300 random misfire... also had the cat rattle. they said its good to drive for a lil while longer till i can get time off work to fix.. well it didnt want to drive faster then 45 this morning and so i decided today to take it to the dealership.. had it towed half way there...- Zumwalt

Tinted windshield?
so reading trough this tread, some of you have double layered tint??? I do want darker tint on mine but dont want to pay the extra to remove old tint... is there any issue with tinting over older tint??? -

03' 4.8 if drivin right, almost 500 miles, and thats driving till the last drop, but usually 450-475 a tank.- Zumwalt
